Reporting to the VP, Total Rewards, youll be responsible for ensuring fair, competitive, and scalable pay structures that drive employee engagement and support business strategy. You will directly manage a team of compensation professionals and work cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and senior leaders - all while championing Greenhouses values of equity and belonging. <h2>Who will love this job</h2> <ul> <li>A compensation conductor - you pride yourself in orchestrating global compensation programs, from salary frameworks to equity plans, and leading a team to create fair and competitive pay structures.</li> <li>A data maverick - you get a thrill from diving into external trends and compensation surveys to unearth insights and drive continuous improvement, ensuring programs are always ahead of the curve.</li> <li>An equity visionary - you have a proven track record of managing equity programs and love the idea of directing grant processes, vesting, compliance, and educating employees on their equity.</li> <li>A strategic advisor - youre skilled at translating complex compensation data into clear, compelling recommendations for executive leaders and influencing key decisions.</li> </ul> <h2>What you’ll do</h2> <ul> <li>Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of salary frameworks, sales incentives, bonus plans, and equity programs, ensuring alignment with company objectives</li> <li>Drive global benchmarking to maintain competitive and consistent compensation programs</li> <li>Strategically plan and execute annual merit, bonus, and equity refresh cycles, collaborating with HRBPs, Finance, Legal, and executive leadership</li> <li>Own and deliver market-aligned recommendations for compensation program budgets</li> <li>Oversee grant processes, vesting, compliance, and employee education for all equity programs</li> <li>Stay informed on external compensation trends, participate in surveys, and ensure all programs adhere to regulatory requirements</li> <li>Clearly communicate complex compensation data and recommendations to executive leaders and the Compensation Committee, advising on decision impact</li> <li>Foster a culture of transparency by educating managers and employees on compensation and equity, and mentor a team of compensation professionals</li> </ul> <h2>You should have</h2> <ul> <li>Progressive experience in broad-based compensation, incentive and equity plan design and administration, or total rewards in high-growth environments</li> <li>Proven experience mentoring or managing compensation teams</li> <li>Strong knowledge of compensation theory, market benchmarking, job leveling, and regulatory compliance (including pay equity laws)</li> <li>Extensive, hands-on experience designing and administering incentive and sales compensation plans</li> <li>Proven track record managing equity programs, ideally in a public or late-stage private company</li> <li>Experience using compensation data and platforms (Workday, Radford, Mercer, Carta, etc.) to drive insights and recommendations</li> <li>Exceptional project management and analytical skills; able to run large-scale processes independently</li> <li>Strong communication skills with the ability to present data and strategy to executive audiences and influence decision-making</li> <li>Experience in high-growth, tech or SaaS environments, strongly preferred</li> <li>Commitment to advancing equity, inclusion, and a positive employee experience</li> <li>Your own unique talents! The national pay range for this role is $153,300- $180,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidates experience and qualifications. Certain roles may be eligible for additional compensation, including stock option awards, bonuses, and merit increases. Additionally, certain roles have the opportunity to receive sales commissions that are based on the terms of the sales commission plan applicable to the role. For US-based employees, we offer short-term and long-term disability coverage, a 401(k) plan and company match.
