Join a GoTo product team and play a key role in transforming the workplace for millions of users worldwide—your work will truly make a differenceYour Day to Day As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you would be:<ul><li>Design, build, and operate the core data platform infrastructure on AWS and Databricks.</li><li>Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).</li><li>Manage networking, security, access controls, encryption, and cost controls for data workloads.</li><li>Optimize Databricks clusters, job schedules, Delta Lake storage, and data pipelines for performance and cost.</li><li>Build and maintain CI/CD for platform components and data workloads. Define and enforce platform best practices, runbooks, and SLAs.</li><li>Mentor and coach engineers provide technical leadership for cross-team projects.</li><li>Collaborate with product, data engineering, and security to prioritize platform work and roadmap.</li><li>Evaluate and introduce tools/automation to reduce toil and improve reliability.</li></ul>What We’re Looking ForAs a Senior Data Platform Engineer, your background will look like<ul><li>5+ years of hands-on experience building and operating data platforms, cloud infrastructure, or related systems.</li><li>Strong AWS experience (EC2, EMR, S3, IAM, VPC, EKS, Lambda, Kinesis, CloudWatch).</li><li>Experience in networking, security, and cost optimization.</li><li>Significant production experience with Databricks (cluster tuning, jobs, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog or governance features).</li><li>Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred).</li><li>Experience in Python, SQL, and shell scripting. Familiarity with Spark internals is a plus.</li><li>Experience with Kubernetes/EKS, Helm, and containerized data workloads.</li><li>Familiarity with Airflow, or other orchestration tools.</li><li>Observability tooling experience (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry).</li><li>Experience with CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
