Location: Shenzhen (Flexible) - This role requires proximity to an office location with the flexibility to work from home. What You Will Do  <ul> <li>Work on GoPro JDM projects including camera manufacturing firmware or accessory product firmware.</li> <li>Evaluate firmware feasibility, resource, and schedule for JDM camera or accessory projects.</li> <li>Document and provide specifications related to firmware</li> <li>Lead partners’ firmware team to evaluate, design, bring up, develop, and deliver JDM products.</li> <li>Review partners’ FW and FWQA deliveries including coding, firmware release, documents, issues test report, NRE, etc.</li> <li>Organize regular or instant meetings with partner teams (FW/EE/Ops/PM/etc.) or GoPro internal teams (FW/PM/EE/Ops).</li> <li>Communicate with GoPro cross-functional teams (FW/PDM/EE/PM/Audio/IQ/RF/Ops/etc.) for technical discussion or manufacturing issues related to firmware.</li> <li>Support the troubleshoot and debugging of critical issues from team.</li> <li>Necessary traveling to partners’ companies/factories to support each engineering phase (Proto/EVT/DVT/PVT/MP).</li> </ul>   Skills We’re Excited About <ul> <li>MS or BA in electrical engineering or equivalent 15+ years firmware work experience in firmware development.</li> <li>3+ years’ experience in leading ODM/JDM projects for firmware development</li> <li>Hands-on expertise with embedded system architecture</li> <li>Strong proficiency in C programming language, and Good at python, shell, C++, and ARM assembly programming language.</li> <li>Experience in Bluetooth and BLE Audio firmware development</li> <li>Experience in camera firmware and manufacturing firmware development</li> <li>Confortable with firmware OS like Linux, FreeRTOS, Thread-X, T-kernel, and others.</li> <li>Proficient in battery charge/discharge management, PD2.0/3.0 protocol, BC1.2 protocol, fast charge, etc.</li> <li>Proficient in 32-bit ARM MCUs and their general interface and control like STM32, Microchip, etc.</li> <li>Proficient in communication interface and protocol such as Type-C, I2C, SPI, UART, 1-wire, USB, etc.</li> <li>Familiar in audio interface, protocol, and knowledge like I2S, DAC/ADC, AWE, DSP, process pipeline, etc.</li> <li>Fluent in English and Mandarin in both speaking and writing.</li> <li>Self-driven management for supporting multiple projects </li> </ul> Bonus Points For <ul> <li>Experience in USB device/host product development</li> <li>Experience in camera architecture and image calibration</li> <li>Experience in Amba/Qualcomm camera platform</li> <li>Gimbal product firmware development</li> </ul>   Why Work with Us?
