THE TEAM  The Commodities Energy Sales desk works with a range of corporate clients across the Americas primarily focused on the energy products such as oil, and gas. Team members help strengthen client relationships across the corporate franchise by partnering with Trading, Strats, Federation members, as well as other internal GS Sales teams. On a day-to-day basis, team members will be expected to deliver exceptional client relationship management, stay connected with market events across commodity markets, and work with the wider team to support and build the overall business. Job Summary &amp; Responsibilities <ul> <li>Supporting senior sales coverage with structuring, pricing and executing both physical and derivative transactions with existing clients</li> <li>Executing and booking of flow-based trades across commodity products; identifying opportunities for automating execution</li> <li>Understanding commodities market fundamentals and trends and communicating information succinctly to clients</li> <li>Producing commentary ranging from a variety of client e-mails to weekly and monthly strategy performance updates</li> <li>Collecting, managing, and analyzing data related to industry trends and client trading activity</li> <li>Supporting syndication efforts by working with trading and other sales teams to identify opportunities in offsetting risk management</li> <li>Interacting with Credit, Legal and Operations teams internally to help enhance client experience and seamless trade execution</li> <li>Helping build new client relationships by working with internal teams as well as completing prospecting exercises to expand the business</li> </ul> MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/DEGREE AND FIELD: <ul> <li>Strong academic record with minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related discipline</li> <li>Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving ability</li> <li>Ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities and work well under pressure</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills</li> <li>One (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role.</li> </ul>   <div> Salary Range The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $110000-$125000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
