Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Data Center Sales Manager with technical expertise to join our dynamic sales team. As a Data Center Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving the growth and success of our data center solutions and services. You will utilize your technical expertise, industry knowledge, and strong communication skills to build relationships with clients, understand their unique requirements, and provide solutions tailored to their data center infrastructure needs. This role requires a combination of technical acumen and sales skills to effectively communicate the value of our offerings and build lasting client relationships. This role’s primary responsibility is to boost the revenue in Japan, but the responsibility may be expanded to other APAC regions. This position will report to SVP of Ada Japan/APAC.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of data center technologies, including server hardware, networking, virtualization, storage, cooling, power distribution, and security, to recommend the best solutions for the client.
  • Solution Design: Work with clients to gather technical requirements and design customized data center solutions that meet business goals, scalability needs, and budget constraints.
  • Sales Activity: Actively participate in presales – sales activities to demonstrate the technical features and benefits of our data center offerings through product demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution proposal development.
  • Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with decision makers and stakeholders within the client organization. Serve as a trusted advisor and provide insight into industry best practices, trends, and innovations related to data center technology.
  • Proposal Development: Engage with internal/external resource and develop detailed technical proposals and estimates, clearly explaining proposed solutions, scope of work, pricing, and timelines. This role requires to work closely with Finance, Engineering, Delivery and Legal.
  • Reporting and tracking: Track client relation activities and report opportunities status. Develop and utilize KPI to measure sales activity performance.
  • Project Coordination: Work with the project management team to ensure seamless execution of the data center solution, address technical challenges throughout the implementation process, and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay on the forefront of industry trends, product developments, and emerging technologies related to data center infrastructure and continually deepen your knowledge to provide valuable information and insights to clients and effectively position our offerings.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor the competitive environment and market trends to identify opportunities for product and service improvements and provide valuable feedback to the internal team. 
  • Training and Support: Provide training and technical support to clients and internal sales teams to deepen their understanding of data center technology and effectively promote solutions.
  • Leadership: Develop sales strategy for Japan, including designing the future sales organization. 

Additional Information

Salary commensurate with experience and background. This position is based in Tokyo CBD (Directly connected to Tokyo Station), Japan.
