The successful candidate will have a technical background, possess excellent logic and problem-solving skills, and possess a drive to make a difference. They will be participating in enforcing the rules of Scrum, removing impediments from their teams while promoting self-management, and constantly improving our standards of work.<h2></h2>Overall<ul><li>Is a subject matter expert on Scrum and Agile practices with the ability to train non-Agile team members on best practices</li><li>Must be self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks as delegated</li><li>Serve as liaison between technical and non-technical departments</li><li>Communicate with other management, developers, product managers and technical support specialists on product issues</li><li>Must be a team player with the ability to work within a collaborative environment</li></ul>Supporting the Development team<ul><li>Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings</li><li>Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress</li><li>Maintain process documentation</li><li>Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility</li><li>Assist in the estimation of project resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.</li><li>Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment</li><li>Drive to continuously improve the team’s process</li></ul>Supporting the Product Manager<ul><li>Assist as needed with backlog maintenance</li><li>Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information</li><li>Assist with prioritization and resolution of defects/bugs</li></ul>Supporting the Product Team<ul><li>Assist team with making appropriate commitments through story selection, task definition</li><li>Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices</li><li>Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution</li><li>Empower the team to self-organize</li></ul>Supporting the Delivery Manager<ul><li>Provide metrics (through Jira) to the Delivery manager. Some of the metrics include the number of defects found in QA and Class A, their classification, trends, etc.</li><li>Work with the Delivery manager on project priorities, product backlog, and sprint logs</li><li>Work with the Scrum teams, Product Manager and the Development Manager to make sure the projects are delivered on time with high quality keeping the Product Team happy.</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelors degree in a technical field or combination of relevant education and experience</li><li>Understanding of Agile methodologies</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse personality types</li><li>Ability to understand technical issues at a basic level</li><li>Understanding of Agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures</li><li>Ability to work independently with limited supervision and with other department personnel</li><li>Must have exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills</li><li>Must be self-motivated as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail</li><li>Excellent communication skills in English, including both writing and speaking</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Financial Technology experience a plus</li><li>Experience in Jira highly preferable</li><li>Scrum Master Certification - (Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM1), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or SAFe Agilist (SA) depending on certifying organization)</li><li>Competency with Google Suite applications and other collaboration tools.</li></ul>Global Payments Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
