About the Team
GLG is seeking a Manager to lead a team of client service professionals in our New York office. The Manager will be instrumental in building client relationships, a high-performance team culture and growing the book of business within GLG’s fast-growing Professional Service Firm segment.
Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Build strong relationships and maximize revenue from the dedicated client offices, leading a dedicated service team to improve quality of service and exceed client expectations.
- Build a high-performance team culture of exceeding business targets across commercial and service quality goals. Provide thoughtful support, guidance, and coaching for your team members as they progress in their careers.
- Lead and coordinate staffing across the team’s opportunities, delivering excellent client service, and maximizing revenue and market share on all client opportunities .
- Drive continuous service improvement through close coaching, role-modelling and adherence to best practices guidelines and workflows, managing to key service quality indicators .
- Build strong trusting relationships with key client users in the dedicated offices driving client engagement and retention through outreach, live and in-person meetings as well as client events.
- Track team performance and create plans to accelerate revenue growth.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of consulting clients’ needs and find ways to meet or exceed these expectations.
- Collaborate with the Member Success team to ensure a positive experience for GLG network members (industry experts).
- Collaborate with leadership to support strategic, operational, and talent initiatives by contributing to problem solving, testing and implementation.
- Champion change and build buy-in for change amongst team. Exemplify GLG leadership and culture in and outside the team.
- Ensure adherence to GLG compliance, standards, and values.
An ideal candidate will have the following:
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team of client service professionals.
- 5-8 years of client service- or consulting experience, minimum 2 years of direct management experience.
- Experience fostering strong client relationships and winning back users/teams
- Exposure to consulting firms is a significant plus.
- Results-oriented focus and track record of business growth/turnaround.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive, and service-oriented work environment.
- Excel in a metrics-driven, entrepreneurial, and demanding environment.
- Passion for problem solving and delighting clients.
- Curious, experimental, and adaptive.
- Outstanding communication skills and proven ability to engage senior professionals.
- Bachelors degree (required).

Actual compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. Certain roles may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
