<div><div><div>Summary: </div><div>As a Sr. Staff Engineer, you’ll lead the strategy and execution of a technical roadmap for modernization of our Payments Platform, with a strong focus on data architecture. You will design how payment data is stored, collected, and structured to power critical use cases such as fraud, business analytics, machine learning and financial reporting. You will work across the team to build scalable, resilient, and modern data systems while mentoring engineers and establishing high standard for technical decision making and team performance. </div><div>Responsibilities: </div><div><ul><li>Architect and implement secure, resilient, and compliant data systems for our payment platform across legacy (MS SQL) and modern (Postgres, Cassandra) systems. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Develop and execute a strategy for real-time and batch data processing, ensuring data is correct, complete and timely for downstream use cases. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Lead the development of data-driven solutions, including integrating complex data systems, and implementing analytics capabilities to derive insights from large datasets. </li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li>Partner closely with data engineers, analysts and scientists to define and implement data models and pipelines, that support critical business use cases. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Provide mentorship and foster a culture of learning and engineering excellence. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Set high standards for code, design documentation, and technical decision-making. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Establish practices for a high-performing engineering organization. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Stay ahead of industry trends and recommend new technologies. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Resolve service disruptions and implement prevention/self-healing mechanisms. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Influence and educate stakeholders at all levels. </li></ul></div><div>Qualifications: </div><div><ul><li>Proven track record of designing and implementing data platforms for payments, financial or highly regulated systems </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ability to connect technical data solutions to business needs, ensuring data is actionable for business use cases </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Deep understanding of modern data architecture patterns, including event-driven architecture, steam processing (e.g. kafka) and real-time data processing. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to architect complex systems that can process and analyze large-scale data efficiently.  </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Strong experience with cloud-native architecture, CNCF frameworks, and databases like Postgres and Cassandra </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Go, Java, Python, C#) and data-related tools like Kafka, Airflow, Spark, etc. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Strong problem-solving, leadership and collaboration skills across distributed teams. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Understanding of data privacy, compliance, and governance practices in the payments industry </li></ul></div><div> </div><div>Experience: </div><div><ul><li>12+ years in software development with Go or Java frameworks. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>10+ years in architecture and system design with a data-intensive applications. </li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li>8+ years with cloud-native systems, CNCF frameworks and distributed data stores </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Experience with payment systems and financial reporting is highly preferred. </li></ul></div><div>Education: </div><div><ul><li>Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. </li></ul></div></div></div>  Annual Salary$115,000.00 - $260,000.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate.
