That’s why we offer The GEICO Pledge: Great Company, Great Culture, Great Rewards and Great Careers.The Transactions Contracting Team within the Legal Operations and Commercial Law division of GEICO’s Law Department is looking for a dynamic experienced Manager - Contract Management. The core responsibility of this role is reviewing and negotiating all aspects of complex vendor contracts based on company’s tolerance/risk profile.   The selected candidate must have a proven history of independently redlining and negotiating various types of commercial contracts.  The candidate needs to be a leader within the team and have the ability to mentor team members.  The candidate needs to have experience with direct responsibility for contract negotiations with national/Fortune 100 level companies.This individual should be able to handle a high volume of assignments in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and track progress to ensure deadlines are met. This position requires the ability to coordinate, communicate and collaborate within the team and with all levels of internal stakeholders (i.e., business customers, legal, security risk assessment teams, finance, and budgeting) and third party suppliers.  This position will also require analytical skills and the ability to identify process improvements and a proven history of making positive impacts and change.  This position requires the ability to think independently and manage a large volume of high-visibility and deadline-driven projects under pressure, make decisions, and navigate gray areas in a changing environment. Candidate Qualifications:<ul><li>4-year degree.</li><li>Demonstrated ownership of customer portfolio</li><li>Demonstrated leadership of/within team</li><li>Experience communicating with executive leadership (C-suite) and responding to their inquiries and requests.</li><li>Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.</li><li>Proven track record of identifying and implementing improvements to business processes.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to identify and redline contract terms that increase risk and reduce value for an organization.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to negotiate with vendors to more effectively position GEICO to receive the best value proposals for the corporation</li><li>Drafts and reviews purchase and leasing contracts and service statements of work for equipment and service contracts</li><li>Experience assuming responsibility and independent ownership of the workload, assignments and results for a portfolio of work.</li><li>Excellent communication and time management skills; able to communicate contract issues to diverse audiences.</li></ul>Required qualifications<ul><li>JD and 5 years’ experience contract review/negotiation with sole decision-making authority or 10 years’ experience contract review/negotiation with sole decision making authority</li></ul>Desired Qualifications:Masters in finance, Business Administration, IT Major or Juris DoctorFirm understanding of software licensing metrics Experience with a large software vendor Experience with contract management systemsExperience with SaaS/Cloud computing contract reviewExperience supporting internal customers in a corporate environment#LI-HB1  Annual Salary$109,675.00 - $172,200.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline.
