Job Summary: The Global Materials Leader for AVS collaborate with the business to optimize the procurement, storage, and distribution of materials across multiple international sites. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective flow of materials necessary to produce medical devices and technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supply chain management, strong analytical skills, and the ability to influence a diverse team. This is a critical role to enhance the AVS business’ supply chain efficiency and responsiveness in a dynamic environment.Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Collaborate with the Global Inventory Leader to develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs while ensuring the availability of necessary materials.
- Supplier Coordination: Work with global and local sourcing teams to establish and maintain relationships with global suppliers and ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials.
- Compliance: Ensure all materials meet regulatory requirements and quality standards specific to the MedTech industry.
- Forecasting: Collaborate with production teams to forecast material needs based on production schedules and forecast.
- Team Leadership: Influence and mentor a team of procurement and inventory staff, providing training and support as needed to global tools.
- Process Improvement: Continuously analyze and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs across the AVS supply chain.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on inventory status, supplier performance, and cost savings.
- Standardization: Develop and implement a standardized operating model for materials management across multiple global sites to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Operating Model Creation: Design and establish an operating model that aligns with best practices and industry standards, facilitating seamless integration and coordination among global materials sites.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in materials management, preferably in the MedTech industry.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, proficiency in inventory management software, and knowledge of regulatory requirements in the MedTech sector. Oracle, Kinaxis experience preferred.
- Preferred Certifications: APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $135,200.00-$202,800.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
