This is the holy grail opportunity for the AI ecosystem, and we believe we have unique insight to pull it off. </p> <p><span>Join us in this mission!</span></p></div><p><strong>Role overview:</strong></p> <p>As a Staff Fullstack Engineer on Grapevine, youll be working on building out core functionality across our ingestion stack (including new sources and our privacy/governance engine) and core product surfaces (including our UI, MCP, and Slack interfaces). We have an ambitious roadmap of features as well as a high bar for data security and scalability. You should be an intrinsically motivated systems thinker who can quickly move from concept to working prototype, building both frontend and backend components.</p> <p><strong>Where you will make an impact:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Design and implement integrations to new external platforms, expanding the scope of the knowledge Grapevine comprehends</li> <li>Build fundamental systems like our Privacy/Governance engine, to ensure no context is inadvertently leaked between teams or employees</li> <li>Craft delightful product experiences atop the superpower of a well-informed knowledge system</li> <li>Build prototypes that demonstrate the potential of company-specific AI, from internal chatbots to workflow automation tools</li> <li>Mentor and inspire other engineers to think creatively about AI applications</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you bring:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong backend development skills with experience going from problem to deployment</li> <li>Proficiency in modern web technologies (Vite, TypeScript, Python) and backend development</li> <li>Proficiency with AI native coding tools (i.e, Claude Code, Cursor, etc.)</li> <li>Experience building AI systems (MCPs, Agents, misc LLM provider APIs, etc.)</li> <li>Intellectual curiosity that drives you to explore new approaches and stay current with emerging technologies</li> <li>Experience building internal tools for cross-functional organizations</li> <li>Excitement about working on a small team where your contributions have an outsized impact</li> <li>Strong debugging and investigation skills; you’re comfortable digging into an ambiguous problem statement and coming up with solutions</li> <li>A keen intuition for well-designed software and well-written code</li> <li>Intrinsic motivation and the drive to own and solve difficult problems without guidance</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with technical leadership abilities</li> <li>An open and growth mindset when giving and receiving feedback</li> <li>You are resourceful, have a bias towards action, and love moving fast</li> <li>A healthy tolerance for the chaotic balance between Doing Things Right and iterating and shipping quickly</li> </ul> <div> <p><strong>US Salary Range</strong></p> <p>At Gather, compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
