Senior Directors serve as leaders within Gartner’s Business and Technology Insights practice, establishing themselves as a credible voice within their area(s) of expertise across industries at regional and global levels. Using exceptional research and analytical skills, Senior Directors play a significant role in producing pragmatic and provocative research that Gartner clients consume and apply to support their key objectives. They are a trusted source of advice for clients, reinforcing Gartner’s value every day by engaging them via virtual and in-person interactions, sales support visits and Gartner conferences to discuss complex client challenges and offer appropriate recommendations. As more seasoned members of the analyst team, Senior Directors also play a role in supporting junior analyst development and leading research discussions and collaboration.  This role is an opportunity to join Gartner’s growing Human Resources Practice. This group is dedicated to tracking the leading edge of HR innovation — notably the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on HR and the workforce — and advising Chief Human Resources Officers (CHROs) and other HR functional leaders on related HR strategies, initiatives and investments. Senior Directors are expected to offer flexibility in what they can cover and how they channel their expertise. What you’ll do: <ul><li>Create innovative, thought-provoking and highly leveraged research offering compelling, objective and actionable advice for Gartner clients in multiple formats (i.e., writing, video, infographics, podcasts) on topics including (but not limited to) foreseeing, documenting and shaping AI in HR use cases, the role of the CHRO in enterprise AI implementation, and the transformation of the workforce given the emergence of AI. </li></ul><ul><li>Deliver individualized advice rooted in quantitative and qualitative data and specific to a client role to CHROs and other senior HR leaders through video-based presentations and discussions. </li></ul><ul><li>Track and work closely with vendors, market trends, emerging technologies and practices to remain ahead of the curve within the AI-driven HR technology space. </li></ul><ul><li>Create and deliver presentation materials in person and via videoconferencing at Gartner events and client briefings. </li></ul><ul><li>Actively drive innovation, ideation and research discussions, and collaborate effectively with peers in our research community. </li></ul><ul><li>Identify research process improvements or develop new processes that help the team and Business and Technology Insights provide excellent service delivery. </li></ul><ul><li>Mentor and coach more junior team members. </li></ul>What you’ll need: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree, or higher, and at least 12 years of relevant experience in HR functional and/or technology leadership roles or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</li></ul><ul><li>A profound understanding of the challenges CHROs face as leaders within the enterprise and familiarity with the CHRO workflows and priorities. </li></ul><ul><li>Experience successfully designing, implementing and managing HR AI strategies and initiatives.  </li></ul><ul><li>Deep first-hand knowledge of the HR tech landscape, including market dynamics, vendors, products and emerging use cases, particularly with respect to AI and generative AI, and their impact on HR processes, team structures and data governance. </li></ul><ul><li>Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical and presentation skills; ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions. </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multicultural global team. </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to take peer feedback and provide constructive feedback to others.  </li></ul><ul><li>Proficiency in analyzing and synthesizing data, including ability to effectively apply or create patterns and frameworks while drawing and defending conclusions to client challenges. </li></ul><ul><li>High comfort level with presenting at large and small-scale speaking engagements. </li></ul><ul><li>Strong business and financial acumen. </li></ul><ul><li>Strong executive presence and ability to establish credibility with senior-level audiences. </li></ul><ul><li>An innovative and proactive approach to problem solving, as well as a demonstrated track record of ownership to successful execution </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to represent Gartners research methodology and strategies effectively at all levels. </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to conduct occasional travel, regionally and globally. </li></ul>#LI-LE2#LI-RemoteWho are we? At Gartner, Inc. Join us.Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 152,000 USD - 190,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
