About this role:Our Consulting Directors are responsible for leading project delivery and oversight, as well as managing senior client relationships. You will manage teams as an engagement manager, responsible for leading the team to completion, ensuring deliverables are turned in on time, and shaping the overall project scope and design. Our teams advise clients at the highest strategic level on both big-picture and tactical matters, focusing on how technology enables a wide range of business outcomes.What you’ll do:As a Director, you will:<ul><li>Lead ERP implementation projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment with client goals and timelines.</li><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders, managing expectations and fostering strong, long-term relationships.</li><li>Oversee and inspire project teams, including functional and technical consultants, ensuring high performance and collaboration.</li><li>Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and resource allocations.</li><li>Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues.</li><li>Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership to clients on ERP best practices and process optimization.</li><li>Collaborate with Gartner leadership to support business development and proposal efforts.</li><li>Create high-quality project work-products/deliverables such as presentations, technical or business documents, and quantitative models.</li><li>Build credibility with client executive-level staff, setting the standard for engagement teams and proactively managing client expectations of engagement scope.</li><li>Mentor and develop junior associates and guide them in project delivery.</li><li>Participate in hiring new associates.</li><li>Meet utilization and sales targets.</li></ul>What you’ll need:<ul><li>Master’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field preferred.</li><li>5–10 years of extensive hands-on experience implementing ERP systems, with a strong preference for Financials modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets).</li><li>Experience with leading ERP platforms such as Oracle, Workday, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics; experience implementing Oracle is a significant plus.</li><li>Recent experience working for a top-tier System Implementer in a client-facing role.</li><li>Proven success in a Program Director, Engagement Manager, or Project Leadership role within large-scale ERP implementations.</li><li>Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.</li><li>PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.</li><li>A consistent track record of leading people and building high-performing teams that leverage technology and research to drive the mission-critical priorities of commercial or government entities.</li><li>Ability to inspire and motivate professionals from both technical and non-technical backgrounds towards a common goal.</li><li>Unwavering commitment to the success of your team, and willingness to provide constructive/corrective action when needed.</li><li>Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and the creative development of solutions and strategies to solve client problems. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
