In this hands-on leadership role, you will own the design, management, and continuous improvement of Garner’s People Operations infrastructure — including technology, workflows, and compliance. You’ll leverage<strong> </strong>AI to build and advanced technology to build scalable, efficient solutions that power a world-class employee experience and support the success of our rapidly growing organization — now approaching 500 employees and expanding quickly. This role reports to the Head of People.</p> <p>This position has the option to be fully Remote or Hybrid in our NYC office.</p> <h3><strong>What you will do:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Own and evolve Garner’s People Operations infrastructure — including HRIS, payroll, compliance, leaves of absence, and automation tools — ensuring our systems scale seamlessly with company growth</li> <li>Act as the “product manager” for People Technology — develop and execute a roadmap for Rippling and other HR tech platforms, integrating new tools and AI-driven solutions that improve accuracy and efficiency</li> <li>Design and implement automation across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding and offboarding, to leaves of absence, to data management — freeing up the team to focus on strategic, high-impact work</li> <li>Streamline compliance and operational workflows — proactively monitor federal and state regulatory requirements and ensure all processes, documentation, and audits are continuously updated and airtight</li> <li>Develop and maintain People Analytics dashboards and reporting that synthesize insights across multiple data sources to identify trends, measure process efficiency, and inform People strategy</li> <li>Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, Legal, IT, and Security) to ensure seamless data flow, operational consistency, and an exceptional employee experience</li> <li>Provide oversight and mentorship to the People Operations Analyst, setting the foundation for a growing team</li> </ul> <h3><strong>What you will bring to the team:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience across functions in the People/HR space, with 2+ years with a focus on HR Operations at a tech-forward organization. Product Management and/or Technology Consulting experience is a big plus</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience</li> <li>A combination of high ownership mentality, agility, and exceptional project management skills that has resulted in a proven track record of delivering complex initiatives in a rapidly evolving, high-bar environment</li> <li>A deep interest and nuanced understanding of AI capabilities and applications</li> <li>Advanced Excel/Google Sheets abilities</li> <li>Robust experience with HRIS configuration is required; experience with Rippling strongly preferred.</li> <li>Passion for delivering an exceptional employee experience, and a desire to be a part of our mission to improve the healthcare system</li> <li>A willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Compensation Transparency:</strong></h3> <p>The base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws.
