As a senior member of the team, you will drive critical initiatives in infrastructure automation, security, and continuous delivery, collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to build and maintain a highly scalable, secure, and resilient platform. While the title is Senior Software Engineer, the core focus of this role will be on applying your software engineering expertise to optimize our development lifecycle, infrastructure, and deployment processes.</div> <h2> What You Will Do: </h2> <ul><li><strong>Cloud Infrastructure Leadership:</strong> Architect, implement, and maintain a scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS.</li><li><strong>CI/CD Pipeline Innovation:</strong> Design and optimize sophisticated CI/CD pipelines to achieve zero-downtime deployments and ensure high availability of our applications.</li><li><strong>Security and Compliance Champion:</strong> Develop and enforce robust security best practices, implement compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2), and drive risk mitigation strategies across our infrastructure and applications.</li><li><strong>Infrastructure as Code Advocate:</strong> Lead the adoption and expansion of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Ansible to ensure infrastructure consistency and repeatability.</li><li><strong>Containerization and Orchestration Expertise:</strong> Champion the use of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and contribute to our microservices orchestration strategy.</li><li><strong>Observability and Reliability Engineering:</strong> Implement and optimize comprehensive monitoring, logging, and incident response solutions using tools like Opentelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Cloudwatch, and Opsgenie.</li><li><strong>Security Automation:</strong> Automate security processes, including integration with penetration testing tools and implementation of threat modeling outcomes.</li><li><strong>Cost Optimization:</strong> Drive strategies for optimizing cloud resource utilization and improving overall infrastructure efficiency.</li><li><strong>SDLC Integration:</strong> Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate security and DevOps best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.</li><li><strong>Technical Guidance and Mentorship:</strong> Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers on DevOps principles, cloud technologies, and automation techniques.</li><li><strong>Continuous Improvement and Innovation:</strong> Stay at the forefront of emerging DevOps and cloud security trends, actively evaluating and implementing new tools and practices to enhance our infrastructure and processes.</li><li><strong>AI/ML in DevOps:</strong> Actively explore, evaluate, and implement AI/ML or LLM-based technologies to optimize DevOps workflows, enhance efficiency, and drive innovation within the engineering organization.</li></ul> <h2> Life at Gappify </h2> <div><strong>Gappify </strong>is an equal opportunity employer and strongly encourages people of all backgrounds to apply for positions for which they are qualified.
