This role sits at the center of our company’s growth bets. It is the function executives will rely on for clear, data-backed answers about where Fundraise Up should go next and whether we are truly ready to win there.</p> <p><br />The ideal candidate is a research professional with deep experience in market sizing, product-market fit analysis, and competitive intelligence. They are trusted by executives, relentless in their pursuit of truth in the data, and thrive on shaping strategy with rigor.</p> <h4>Key Responsibilities</h4> <h4>Market Research &amp; New Market Entry</h4> <ul> <li>Lead TAM, SAM, and SOM analysis for new geographies, verticals, and segments.</li> <li>Research donation cycles, giving seasonality, and giving practices across certain verticals.</li> <li>Build and validate persona-level insights (jobs to be done, motivations, challenges, frictions).</li> <li>Develop executive-ready business cases that clearly show the size of the opportunity, the risks, and the requirements for entry.</li> </ul> <h4>Product-Market Fit Analysis</h4> <ul> <li>Own the framework for evaluating product-market fit in new markets and verticals.</li> <li>Quantify demand and assign measurable value to product gaps </li> <li>Partner with Product leadership to prioritize roadmap investments based on validated opportunity size and revenue potential.</li> <li>Deliver objective, candid assessments of Fundraise Up’s readiness to compete, even when the answer is “not yet.”</li> </ul> <h4>Competitive Intelligence</h4> <ul> <li>Build and own the competitive intelligence program at Fundraise Up.</li> <li>Track, analyze, and report on competitor features, pricing, positioning, and GTM strategies.</li> <li>Create battlecards, win/loss patterns, and competitive updates for Sales, Product, and Leadership.</li> <li>Partner with Sales to sharpen competitive positioning and objection handling in the field.</li> </ul> <h4>Executive Partnership</h4> <ul> <li>Act as a trusted advisor to executives on market entry and competition.</li> <li>Provide assessments that are strategic, data-backed, and unflinchingly honest.</li> <li>Influence company bets and roadmap priorities with clear, fact-driven insights.</li> </ul> <h4>What Success Looks Like</h4> <ul> <li>Fundraise Up has a repeatable framework for evaluating and entering new markets.</li> <li>Executives make confident decisions with data-backed clarity.</li> <li>A world-class competitive intelligence function informs win rates and strategy.</li> <li>Fundraise Up’s PMM team is seen as the strategic voice of the market across the company.</li> </ul> <h4>Skills and Qualifications</h4> <ul> <li>6–10+ years in Product Marketing, Market Research, Strategy, or related experience.</li> <li>Proven success with market sizing (TAM/SAM/SOM) and product-market fit analysis.</li> <li>Expertise in persona development, JTBD, donation cycle research, and competitive analysis.</li> <li>Strong track record of executive-level communication and influence.</li> <li>Analytical, structured, and rigorous </li> <li>Comfortable operating in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.</li> </ul> <h4>Benefits</h4> <p>Our compensation package includes comprehensive benefits and perks, meaningful equity, and a competitive salary:</p> <ul> <li>Health, Dental, and Vision insurance covered at 100% for employees, 80% for employee plus dependents, and 70% for employees plus family.</li> <li>FSA Spending Account.</li> <li>Remote or Hybrid work.
