They will create an inspiring collaborative team environment with an open communication culture, set clear team and project goals, delegate tasks, and coach/mentor Associates to successfully deliver engineering projects. This position will provide leadership and development to our FORTNA Associates of varying levels of experience and focus on the management of the group’s resource planning and project execution across projects and company initiatives. This role will directly support our electrical project resources and require an understanding of the technical solutions and implementations for a variety of customers.  This includes developing the approach and methodologies for the delivery of projects from the initial concept to implementation and support.  Also, the role will guide the design and documentation of electrical deliverables, adherence to schedules, and provide inputs to the continuous improvement of the Electrical Engineering department.  </p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Leadership<ul><li>Assist and/or Engineering</li><li>Assess and review FORTNA’s current processes and tools within the team and implement improvements to streamline the engineering process and tools.</li><li>Oversee developments in department standards and documentation to improve the quality and efficiency of the Electrical Engineering group.</li><li>Constantly working to expand knowledge of industry best practices and the latest technology for the whole team.</li><li>Assist department directives and follow KPIs representing the success of the team</li><li>Resource planning of the team</li></ul></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Skills and Duties:</b></p><ul><li>Facilitating and supporting Application Engineers during the project transition from Mechanical Design through Solution Development.</li><li>Facilitating and supporting Application Engineers while engaged in Solution Implementation efforts.</li><li>Leading and supporting Application Engineers for multiple projects through the Integrated Detail Design.  This will include RFP/Supplier Selection, detailed electrical design, creating panel and field parts BOMSs, working with panel shops to build electrical control panels, development of installation drawing packages, and support of installation contractor, Project Manager, and Site Manager with installation efforts.</li><li>Facilitating and supporting Application Engineers during project meetings as required by project cadence.</li><li>Producing meeting agendas.</li><li>Providing meeting minutes to team members.</li><li>Facilitating and supporting Application Engineers to update project team on the current status of project.</li><li>Compiling project status reports.</li><li>Attending project update meetings.</li><li>Maintaining and tracking project schedules to ensure all interdepartmental deliverables are provided.</li><li>Facilitating and supporting Application Engineers maintaining and tracking project budgets, providing PM and management team with insight to past and visibility of possible budget variances during the Implementation phase.</li><li>Attending Client meetings as required.</li><li>Facilitating and supporting PFSD development.</li><li>Provide support and direction with Description of Operations (DOO).</li><li>Facilitating and supporting Application Engineers for conducting site visits to determine and validate field dimensions.</li><li>Following and providing input for improvement of Drawing Quality Control (DQC) process.</li><li>Utilizing AutoCAD for drawings.</li><li>Continuously working to solve Client needs.</li><li>Ability to work in a virtual environment</li><li>Proactively seeking work to maintain project and departmental utilization.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>4 year engineering degree from an accredited college with 4-7 years of relevant experience, or 2 year degree from an accredited college with 8+ years of relevant experience.</li><li>Knowledge of and ability to work with and manage multiple suppliers.</li><li>Ability to work effectively on a team and support high levels of performance.</li><li>Strong management and advanced collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal communication).</li><li>Extensive experience working with MS Project and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).</li><li>Experience in standard design of relevant material handling equipment for position.</li><li>Proficient in the use of AutoCAD with at least 3 years practical experience.</li><li>Flexible and approachable.</li><li>Ability to self-motivate.</li><li>Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to travel nationally and internationally management experience</li></ul><p></p><p>The base salary range for this role is $100,700 to $151,100.  This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position.
