Our Passion. Our Approach. </div></div></div></div></div></div></div>POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for acting as a subject matter expert (SME) on Fortna’s Technical Support (CS) Team and will manage, assist and support existing customers with Controls issues and may also assist with new project builds and deployments. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:<ul><li>Assisting in supporting Fortna’s Controls software packages to our customers.</li><li>Documenting the Controls architecture environment and procedures.</li><li>Assist in creating Controls troubleshooting guides.</li><li>Providing remote support and troubleshooting for new and legacy Controls systems.</li><li>Assisting with root cause investigations and providing recommendations for preventative measures.</li><li>Providing support for small projects, remotely and on site.</li><li>Training new and current Client Support Specialists in our Controls software packages and systems</li><li>Providing other support to investigate and troubleshoot issues.</li><li>Collaborating with other team members to foster a team atmosphere.</li><li>Managing support cases in Salesforce.com</li><li>Maintaining operational, configuration, or other procedures.</li><li>Performing periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.</li><li>Performing ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.</li><li>Maintaining data center environmental and monitoring equipment.</li><li>Writing, revising and verifying process and test procedures.</li><li>Developing detailed testing, deployment and back-out plans.</li></ul> REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field or equivalent work experience.</li><li>Intimate knowledge of Fortna Controls software packages; FRC and FortnaPlus.</li><li>Extensive knowledge of conveyor systems and the components of those systems</li><li>Ability to keep up with technology trends and emerging best practices to consistently evolve current solutions.</li><li>Strong aptitude to pick up new tasks and learn new technology quickly.</li><li>Ability to research and quickly become an expert on Controls issues.</li><li>Ability to work in a high-paced, highly dynamic environment. </li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule,  outside of normal business hours.</li><li>Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 5-10% of the time.</li></ul>  DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>Experience delivering conveyor systems.</li><li>VMware experience</li><li>QNX and TwinCat experience</li><li>Experience with Fortna’s Level 2 software</li><li>Salesforce.com experience</li></ul> The base salary range for this role is $100,700 to $151,100.  This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.  WORKING CONDITIONS: When duties are performed in a typical office environment, extended periods of sitting at a desk and viewing a computer screen will be required. Also required is the ability to talk and hear, in person and by telephone; use of hands to handle, feel, or operate standard office equipment; and ability to reach with hands and arms. Associates are frequently required to walk and stand. The noise level in this work environment is usually quiet.
