Position Overview
The Indirect Category Manager will provide strategic and tactical leadership across a broad range of indirect spend categories. This role requires expertise in category management, sourcing strategies, supplier relationships, and supply chain optimization, ensuring the achievement of both cost-efficiency and service excellence across Ralliant and the Operating Companies. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across several indirect categories, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and a strong background in driving cost savings, supplier performance and value creation through strategic sourcing and category management.
Technical and Functional Responsibilities
- Develops, organizes and implements sourcing strategies that drive cost savings, supplier performance, and innovation, while maintaining high levels of quality and service.
- RFQ, selection and qualification of suppliers including negotiation of contracts, NDAs, MOUs while owning supplier relationship development.
- Ongoing performance management of suppliers to achieve operational and procurement metrics such as: savings, delivery, quality, lead-time, payment terms and innovation.
- Work closely with senior leadership of Ralliant and the Operating Companies to align procurement goals with broader business strategies and objectives.
- Lead a cross-functional team that defines current and future needs of the businesses while leveraging the strength of approved suppliers and potential technology leaders in our markets.
- Balance global requirements of Ralliant with our supply base while expanding our supply chain to reduce risk.
- Manage vendor compliance, contract renewals and performance reviews that deliver Ralliant business objectives
- Able to use lean tools to drive business results with a continuous improvement mindset. Lead workshops and kaizens within an operations environment.
- Implement procurement best practices, policies and tools across the organization.
- Lead and support procurement transformation initiatives, including digitalization and process improvements.
- Identify and mitigate internal and external risks to the category including development of business continuity plans with high-risk suppliers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or equivalent work experience; MBA preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement with demonstrated success in contract negotiation and administration, quality assurance and vendor management.
- Capable of making tradeoffs between technical requirements, quality, commercial terms, risk management, logistics, regional sourcing plans and price when making strategic supplier selection decisions.
- Analytical problem-solving skills and project management experience required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated business acumen.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a cross-functional matrixed team with people in remote locations.
- Microsoft Office applications skills required.
- Ability to travel as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred experience in the following categories: MRO, Capital Equipment, HR Services including recruitment, contingent labor and payroll services, marketing services, software, hardware, telecom services, fleet management and legal services
- International, multiple-site experience is preferred.
- Previous involvement in procurement transformation initiatives

Pay Range
The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 89,200.00 - 165,600.00
