You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans, intimately understanding the local manufacturing industry, and cultivating strong relationships with key customers and partners. You’ll evaluate customer requirements for automation projects, work with the Engineering / Solutions team to develop concepts, and negotiate pricing and terms with end-users. This is an individual contributor role, accountable for owning growth in your territory (this is not a people manager position). </p> <p>If you’re motivated to make a real impact on customers’ lives and businesses; drive Formic’s mission to revolutionize the manufacturing industry; and accelerate your career and compensation… we want to get to know you! </p> <p><strong>As Automation Sales Manager you will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Partner with the Marketing and Sales Development (SDR) team members to create targeted account outreach</li> <li>Generate new business, qualify potential projects, attentively follow up with leads, lead site visits for new project discovery, and present proposals to customers to fulfill their business needs </li> <li>Penetrate primarily SMB and mid-market accounts in food and beverage, chemical, consumer packaged goods (CPG), and related industries</li> <li>Evaluate customer requirements for automation projects, work with the Engineering/Solutions team to develop concepts, and follow up with quotes</li> <li>Represent Formic at trade shows and other industry events, strategically </li> <li>Lead and coordinate both internal and external resources during the pitch and ongoing process as the quarterback of every prospect sales cycle</li> <li>Maintain data integrity, document all pieces of pertinent information in Salesforce, and over-communicate with stakeholders and peers for the tightest and collaborative of sales successful processes</li> <li>Understand and foster a presence in the local manufacturing customer base and market; as well as competitor offerings, customers, and decision influencers across the region; and stay updated on automation market trends</li> <li>Demonstrate ownership mentality, humble honesty, team-player actions, proactive communication, and effective prioritization at all times</li> </ul> <p><strong>What makes you a great fit:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Proven track record of success in B2B sales</strong>, with a minimum of 5-8 years of documented B2B sales experience in technology or SaaS.</li> <li>Knowledge of manufacturing processes is required.
