Responsibilities <ul> <li>Feature architecture, development, and mentorship for engineering excellence </li> <li>Participate and lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies</li> <li>Lead and define technical solutions for projects</li> <li>Develop features with high-quality, maintainable, scalable code</li> <li>Oversee and participate in code reviews</li> <li>Champion Unit and Integration Testing</li> <li>Analyze and resolve emerging technical issues</li> <li>Collaborate with product owners and designers</li> <li>Lead and/or contribute to architectural conversations and decisions</li> <li>Drive and contribute to improvements and standardization of process</li> <li>Assess the feasibility of projects</li> <li>Introduce standardized processes</li> <li>Make detailed plans to accomplish goals</li> <li>Champion Engineering Excellence</li> </ul> The Ideal Candidate: <ul> <li>Clear and positive communication skills</li> <li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment</li> <li>Drive to train, mentor and help other engineers grow</li> <li>A product-value driven mindset</li> <li>Deep understanding of the full technical stack</li> <li>Ability to lead multiple technical initiatives</li> <li>BigQuery and/or GCP experience preferred</li> <li>Knowledge of the following (or similar) technologies: GraphQL, Go, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Node.js, TypeScript, Webpack, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Shell scripting, Python, GCP (and cloud technologies in general)</li> <li>Knowledge of comp sci fundamentals</li> <li>Knowledge/familiarity with Relational &amp; Graph DBs, Server-side Apps, Legacy Systems, and large-scale system migrations</li> </ul> The annual base salary range for this role is $175,000 - $185,000 Forbes has estimated the compensation range set forth above in good faith.  The compensation range is what we believe we will offer, and ultimately pay, a successful candidate.  In determining this range, we consider the experience, level of education (if applicable to the role), knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be had by a successful candidate as well as the budget and the company’s pay rates, generally.
