Job Description:The Building Automation Systems (BAS) Engineering Manager will oversee the design, installation, operation, maintenance, and optimization of building management systems within our data centers. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in BAS, HVAC, electrical systems, and data center operations. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to lead and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.<div><div>Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:</div><ul><li>System Management: Oversee the operation and maintenance of the building management systems, including HVAC, electrical, and other critical infrastructure.</li><li>Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor system performance and implement optimization strategies to improve efficiency and reduce energy consumption.</li><li>Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to BMS, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to data center operations.</li><li>Compliance: Ensure all systems comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.</li><li>Project Management: Lead and manage BAS-related projects, including upgrades, installations, and expansions.</li><li>Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely and quality service delivery.</li><li>Team Leadership: Provide guidance and training to the facilities team on BAS operations and best practices.</li><li>Compliance &amp; Safety: Ensure all activities comply with relevant building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.</li><li>Documentation &amp; Reporting: Maintain detailed records of system operations, project progress, and any issues encountered.</li></ul><div>Qualifications:</div><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.</li><li>Minimum of 10 years of experience in building automation systems, preferably in a data center environment.</li><li>Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, and data center infrastructure.</li><li>Proficiency in BAS software and tools.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.</li><li>Strong project management and leadership abilities.</li><li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.</li><li>Ability to interpret technical documents such as schematics and blueprints.</li><li>Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management position with 5 or more direct reports.</li></ul><div>Preferred Qualifications:</div><ul><li>15 years of relevant technical experience with Building Automation Systems.</li><li>10 years of BMS project management experience.</li><li>BMS/EPMS system design and bidding experience.</li></ul><div>Physical Requirements:</div><ul><li>Ability to sit for extended periods of time.</li><li>Walk or stand for 50% of the time.</li><li>Moderate or advanced keyboard usage.</li><li>Lift 50 lbs.</li><li>Travel 25% of the time.</li></ul>Base Pay Range: Annualized salary range offered for this position is estimated to be $150,000 - $165,000.
