Will you be a part of the team?</p></div><h3><strong>About the role</strong></h3> <p>Were hiring a <strong>Director of Product Marketing, New Verticals</strong> to lead the go-to-market strategy as we expand beyond our core rent product. This is a high-impact role that will actively shape the future of Flex and how bills are paid for consumers. As a core leader within our New Verticals division, you will work closely with the General Manager, strategy, and product leads to launch new products and reposition Flex in the market. </p> <p>This is a unique opportunity to own GTM for a <strong>0-1 launch </strong>and new business unit, defining the strategy from the ground up. Were looking for a leader who is both a strategic visionary and a hands-on executor—youll need to roll up your sleeves and get in the weeds to drive results.</p> <p>This role offers remote flexibility within a hybrid work model in either the NYC or San Francisco. Candidates relocating to the NYC or SF area may be eligible for relocation assistance.</p> <h3><strong>What youll do</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>Lead go-to-market strategy:</strong> develop &amp; execute the go-to-market strategy for our new verticals ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.</li> <li><strong>Own product positioning:</strong> Define and manage the product’s core messaging and value proposition. You will craft compelling narratives and customer profiles that ensure competitive positioning, and build frameworks for consistency across all channels.</li> <li><strong>Drive product growth:</strong> Partner with product and CRM teams to develop in-product messaging and lifecycle comms to drive engagement and retention.</li> <li><strong>Champion market &amp; customer insights:</strong> Youll conduct primary research and partner with our research team to synthesize a holistic view of the market, serving as the voice of the customer to inform product positioning, messaging, and GTM strategy.</li> <li><strong>Establish &amp; own key metrics:</strong> Help define and track key success metrics, establishing OKRs for product marketing, and ensuring alignment with overall company goals.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Key Qualifications </strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>10+ years of experience</strong> in product marketing, with <strong>3+ years in a leadership role </strong>in high-growth consumer or fintech environments.</li> <li><strong>Proven success:</strong> You’ve led go-to-market for new consumer products (0-1) with a large user base under stringent regulatory and quality requirements.</li> <li><strong>Strategic influence:</strong> Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams toward a shared vision.</li> <li><strong>Exceptional analytical skills:</strong> Adept at translating complex data into actionable insights that inform product and business decisions.</li> <li><strong>A blend of strategic and hands-on experience:</strong> You can define a high-level strategy and also dive into the details of execution.
