This role is focused on expanding and maturing how developers and partners programmatically build on Fivetran. You’ll own and evolve our orchestration REST API, Terraform Provider, and Powered by Fivetran offering—critical surfaces that enable developers to embed, extend, and automate with Fivetran. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where you’ll shape the foundation of how external developers and enterprise engineering teams integrate with our platform. The work you do will directly impact how quickly customers can embed Fivetran into their products, automate infrastructure at scale, and extend their data pipelines with minimal friction. By raising the bar on developer experience, you’ll help customers reduce integration costs, accelerate time-to-value, and confidently build on Fivetran as part of their mission-critical data stack. You’ll balance developer-centric usability with enterprise-grade requirements such as scale, security, and governance. This is a full-time position based out of our Oakland, CA office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team. What You’ll Do <ul> <li> Own and evolve the Developer Experience portfolio: REST API, Terraform Provider, Connect Cards, and Powered by Fivetran. </li> <li> Define the roadmap that expands how customers and partners build programmatically on Fivetran—focusing on simplicity, extensibility, and enterprise readiness. </li> <li> Partner closely with engineering and design to deliver intuitive, consistent developer surfaces. </li> <li> Drive adoption by prioritizing investments based on developer feedback, feature usage, customer success input, and enterprise platform needs. </li> <li> Champion developer-first principles and establish standards for API usability, documentation quality, and integration workflows. </li> <li> Serve as a subject matter expert for APIs and developer platforms across Fivetran—ensuring technical and UX consistency. </li> <li> Collaborate with Support, Partnerships, and GTM teams to ensure readiness for new API features, Terraform enhancements, and embedded solutions. </li> <li> Stay on top of trends in developer platforms, Infrastructure-as-Code, and embedded SaaS—with a particular focus on extensibility and automation. </li> </ul> Skills We’re Looking For <ul> <li> Proven product management experience in B2B SaaS or platform products. </li> <li> Demonstrated success building APIs, developer platforms, or Infrastructure-as-Code integrations. </li> <li> Strong developer background—experience working with Web APIs, SaaS SDKs, Terraform, and developer workflows.  </li> <li> Demonstrable proficiency in a major programming language.  Java experience is a plus but not required. </li> <li> You have a strong sense of what makes a great API—clean design, single responsibility, consistent aesthetics—and you value long-term stability (you hate unnecessary deprecation). </li> <li> Excellent collaboration skills across Engineering, Design, Support, and GTM. </li> <li> Data-informed mindset with experience balancing qualitative developer feedback and quantitative usage data. </li> <li> Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment </li> </ul> Bonus Skills <ul> <li> Experience with Terraform, Infrastructure-as-Code tools, or SDK development. </li> <li> Familiarity with embedded SaaS, white-label solutions, or partner integration frameworks. </li> <li> Background in developer relations, platform ecosystems, or enterprise SaaS extensibility. #LI-HYBRID #LI-KM3 </li> </ul><div><div><div>Th compensation range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire compensation for the target position and level, and may include sales incentives or target bonuses depending on the role.  Our compensation ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
