Job Title

Quality Assurance Engineer

• Participate in Agile teams by reviewing and contributing to user stories to define acceptance criteria and building corresponding test scripts (manual and automated).
• Advocate for the “voice of the customer” by evaluating software quality and providing input on product design and process improvements.
• Debug software using systematic test design to establish and maintain quality standards.
• Develop, modify, and execute software test plans, automation scripts, and testing programs.
• Setup, configure, and maintain automated testing frameworks.
• Implement, execute, and debug automated UI and API test scripts using various tools and technologies.
• Conduct all phases of software testing, including test planning, functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Collaborate with fellow QA automation engineers to refine test automation best practices.
• Work closely with product owners and software engineers to understand business requirements and use cases.
• Ensure deliverables meet functional and design specifications.
• Manage test environments, including setup and teardown for internal and external testing.
• Develop detailed test plans and scripts (both manual and automated) from business requirements.
• Document and track defects, generating detailed reports as needed.
• Assist in defining best practices and frameworks for load and performance testing.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in QA and/or software development.
• Exposure to QA automation methodologies and tools.
• Hands-on experience with Java programming.
• 3+ year of experience with programming or scripting languages (Java, TypeScript, Python).
• Experience in testing REST APIs, Postman.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries.
• Familiarity with test case management and defect tracking tools such as Confluence, JIRA, ALM, or MTM.
• Experience testing all layers of web applications, including front-end, service layer, and back-end.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication.

Salary Range

$83,400.00 - $143,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
