In this role, you’ll handle essential monthly accounting functions such as booking loan activity, reconciling accounts, and help with automations as well as play a key part in building and refining processes as we scale at lightning speed. What Youll Do: <ul> <li>Record journal entries related to loan activity and perform account reconciliations for a number of loan related accounts ensuring data accuracy, identifying discrepancies, and proposing solutions when needed.</li> <li>Support the month-end close process by preparing journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.</li> <li>Assist with the preparation of financial statements, conduct analyses, and validate data integrity.</li> <li>Develop and update accounting policies and procedures to ensure GAAP compliance and strengthen internal controls.</li> <li>Assist with external audits by preparing necessary documentation and providing ongoing support.</li> <li>Collaborate regularly with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and resolve issues.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and control procedures</li> <li>Drive process improvement and design of automation solutions to further streamline real-time financial data for decision making.</li> <li>Contribute to various ad hoc projects as the company grows.</li> </ul> What We Look For: <ul> <li>BA/BS in Accounting required.</li> <li>At least 2 plus years of relevant work experience in an Loan Accounting or similar industry accounting role.  Tech startup experience helpful but not required.  </li> <li>Proficiency in Excel required; familiarity with SAGE, Netsuite, WorkDay, Expense Management solutions preferred.</li> <li>Strong understanding of US GAAP.</li> <li>Excellent time management, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting tight deadlines.</li> <li>Strong analytical skills. </li> <li>Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to prioritize tasks and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.</li> <li>Proactive approach to process improvement for operational efficiency.</li> </ul> Salary <ul> <li>Compensation Range: $67,000 - $87,000/yr</li> <li>25% annual bonus target, paid quarterly </li> <li>Equity RSU package</li> <li>This is the compensation range for the United States, actual compensation may vary based on individual candidate experience, location, or evolving business needs</li> </ul> Benefits <ul> <li>Comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance with 100% employer-paid premiums for employees and their dependents on select plans</li> <li>Company HSA, FSA, Dependent Care, 401k, and commuter benefits</li> <li>Employer-funded life and disability insurance coverage</li> <li>11 Observed Holidays &amp; PTO plan</li> <li>Up to 12 weeks paid family leave</li> <li>Continuing education reimbursement</li> </ul> Depending on your residential location certain laws might regulate the way Figure manages applicant data.
