Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general-purpose humanoid. Our humanoid robot is designed for industrial tasks, targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe for humans. This role will be based in Spartanburg, SC. We require 5 days/week onsite collaboration at our customer’s site. As a Humanoid Robot Operator, you will work at the forefront of our customer fleet operations, deploying Figure humanoid robots into automotive manufacturing use cases, identifying issues, and relaying feedback to onsite and offsite engineering teams. You may also collect new data to train our AI systems and work with the AI team to refine behaviors over time.  Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Successful operation of one or more humanoid robots operating in a specific customer use case for the duration of an operating shift </li> <li>Observe robot operations and document robot issues during operation, including reviewing observed issues with onsite and offsite engineering teams</li> <li>Complete end-of-day robot operations reporting, including performance and productivity metrics </li> <li>May control the robot remotely by wearing a teleoperating suit for robot training purposes </li> <li>Maintain a safe environment for both yourself and the robot at all times</li> <li>Follow proper equipment and robot service procedures, including bring-up and shutdown and physical inspection</li> </ul> Requirements: <ul> <li>Willingness to own the operations of the humanoid robot and drive proper functioning of the robot </li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Ability to perform duties and communicate with a high level of professionalism, in a customer-facing environment</li> <li>Must be available for a regular schedule of 40 hours a week, including weekends and holidays, according to business need. Shifts may include evening or early morning hours</li> <li>Function in a manufacturing environment, including standing 8+ hours a day and ability to lift up to 50lbs</li> <li>Embrace constructive feedback and strive for constant improvement</li> <li>Thrive in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Occasional company-funded travel to Figure AI headquarters (San Jose, CA) for training and professional development</li> <li>Maintain high quality work and efficiency while working with little supervision</li> <li>HS Diploma or GED required</li> <li>Ability to read and speak fluent English</li> <li>Ability to see, read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and performance metrics reports</li> <li>Minimum age of 21</li> </ul> Bonus Qualifications: <ul> <li>A passion for helping scale the deployment of learning humanoid robots.</li> <li>Excellent physical coordination, spatial awareness, and focus. </li> <li>Master new physical tasks quickly and find the optimal way to perform them.</li> <li>Experience working with robots or troubleshooting mechanical systems.</li> </ul> The US hourly range for this full-time position is $25-35/hr.  The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
