Our team is responsible for the evolution of the feature set of the Figma editor, while ensuring it delivers the high quality and performant experience that Figma users have come to expect. We’re looking for an experienced and accomplished engineering leader to join us in our mission to scale Figma while upholding the quality and craft our users love. </p> <p>This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.</p> <h4><strong>What you’ll do at Figma:</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Partner with Product and Design to build and execute on a long-term roadmap that ensures a  world-class tool set and user experience for Designers in Figma</li> <li>Work closely with cross-functional partners and other engineering teams to push the envelope for craft and quality in Figma Design</li> <li>Hire, manage, support and develop a team of engineers, including staff level engineers</li> <li>Partner with product and engineering leadership to set strategy, priorities, and mission for teams and projects</li> <li>Establish trust within and across teams by creating accountability and a positive work environment in partnership with other leaders in the organization</li> <li>Grow your career in an engaged and creative engineering community</li> <li>Figma is committed to building an inclusive and diverse team and culture. We expect all of our leaders to play a role in helping to build and drive these initiatives through hiring, community events, and other programs in partnership with teams across all of Figma</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Wed love to hear from you if you have:</strong></h4> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience managing and leading a high output engineering team</li> <li>5+ years of experience building and maintaining scalable software systems</li> <li>Demonstrated leadership skills in building a high-performing and highly engaged engineering team; including a proven track record of motivating, mentoring, and guiding senior engineers, and hiring top industry talent</li> <li>Demonstrated exceptional ability to work cross-functionally across Product, Design, and Marketing, as well as collaborating with other engineering teams to ship both customer and internal-facing projects</li> <li>Technical curiosity - you should be ready to learn and grow alongside your team - and a love of design and craft</li> </ul> <h4><strong>While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Experience working in the front-end, including working with WebAssembly and React</li> <li>Experience working with modern web browser internals and performance</li> </ul> <p>At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. The listed range is a guideline, and the range for this role may be modified. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, the pay range is localized according to employee work location by a factor of between 80% and 100% of range.
