Working independently as well as collaboratively, it is important for this person to have a positive approach to leadership, teamwork, and a drive to deliver cutting edge solutions on a daily basis.The Expertise You Have<ul><li>Have at least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent, with a preference for advanced study</li><li>Minimum 5 years of development experience</li><li>Proficient in Java, SQL and have proven expertise with cloud technologies such as AWS </li><li>Development experience with web application frameworks such as Spring Boot, Production experience with Kubernetes and Serverless on AWS</li><li>Experience working in an Agile Environment</li><li>Previous exposure to trading systems or brokerage technology is strongly preferred</li></ul>The Skills You Bring <ul><li>Having excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to run with multiple tasks at a given time</li><li>Thrive in a team environment, collaborating openly and actively contributing to how work gets completed</li><li>Able to act independently under general direction</li><li>Familiarity with event driven and service-oriented processing is desired</li><li>Demonstrated work experience with cloud technologies.  Industry certifications are welcome, but hands on experience and expertise are better.  Walking the walk is the most important thing</li></ul>The Value you Deliver <ul><li>Deliver high quality, timely, cost effective and maintainable software solutions in an agile environment to meet functional and non-functional business requirements</li><li>Actively contribute to the design and implementation of engineering practices such as code and design reviews, cloud strategy, and build and deployment pipelines</li><li>Work with product owner, squad lead and architecture on a frequent, recurring basis to design and influence technical improvements to the platform, team, and direction</li><li>Able to clearly present complex technical solutions, ideas, and plans to senior management, business partners, and less technical stakeholders as needed </li><li>Develop a keen understanding of the business domain you are working on and actively guide technology discussions with business partners and other external parties</li><li>Investigate creative practices and decide how to apply them within the team.</li></ul>The base salary range for this position is $97,000-185,000 USD per year.  Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.Base salary is only part of the total compensation package.
