Come join us.</div>Posting Open Date: 6/26/2025 Anticipated Posting Close Date*: 8/1/2025 *Job posting may close early due to the volume of applicants.   Sr. Account Sales Engineer The Senior Account Sales Engineer is expected to drive results, inspire confidence, and think strategically, applying both technical expertise and strong interpersonal abilities to maximize customer satisfaction and drive business outcomes.  As an Account Based Solutions Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting Fastlys largest and most strategic accounts. Recognizing that not every customer is the same, this role is designed for focused engagements to capitalize on high growth opportunities, drive revenue retention and growth, and ensure a strong Return on Investment (ROI) for focused customer engagements. You will act as  a proactive focal point for assigned customers, ensuring their success and serving as a trusted advisor. What Youll Do <ul> <li> Partner with customers to align on business priorities and develop customized solutions </li> <li> Design architectures and deliver customer roadmap that leverage Fastly’s platform </li> <li> Deliver strategic sales plays and contribute to competitive wins and renewals </li> <li> Engage early in the roadmap process to ensure alignment with customer goals </li> <li> Champion customer feedback to shape Fastly’s product roadmap </li> <li> Lead and manage Proofs of Concept (POCs) and technical evaluations </li> <li> Expand relationships with key stakeholders and build executive-level trust </li> <li> Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Support to advocate for customer needs </li> <li> Track and prioritize critical issues, feature requests, and value delivery </li> </ul> What Were Looking For <ul> <li> 7+ years in a customer-facing technical role, with at least 2 years in technical account management experience </li> <li> Strong knowledge of cloud and web technologies (CDNs highly preferred) </li> <li> Strong knowledge with Application/API Security (e.g., WAF, WAAP) </li> <li> Proven ability to influence business and technical stakeholders </li> <li> Skilled at delivering technical demos and communicating complex concepts clearly </li> <li> Working knowledge of networking, security protocols, and Linux systems </li> <li> Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g., Python, Ruby, Perl, PHP, or VCL) </li> <li> Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li> <li> Curiosity and openness to new technologies and ways of working </li> <li> Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically </li> </ul> Why Fastly? <ul> <li> We have a huge impact. Salary: The estimated range for On-Target Earnings for this role is $ $170,840 to $205,008. On-Target Earnings consists of a combination of annual base pay and sales compensation variable target. The standard pay split for this role (i.e. base pay vs. variable target %) is 75%/25%. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
