We are seeking an Engineering Manager, Information Security to help build out our engineering team. This role is responsible for defining, implementing, training, and executing against our engineering strategy, creating processes, and building tools within Fanatics Betting and Gaming. The Security Engineering Manager is an expert technologist with experience in managing a team of engineers that can influence and defend our security posture for our customer facing products and internal platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day security engineering work. Ensure that engineering tasks are handled efficiently and theres continuous communication with our security operations team
- Maintain and improve a mature security operations program leveraging DevSecOps principles.
- Communicate, develop, and implement a data-driven strategy, approach, and roadmap for engineering needs.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, inside and outside of Engineering, and collaborate with leaders to prioritize technical efforts and provide input on product features and capabilities.
- Provide leadership and technical expertise within the security team. Be a mentor and role model for engineers and analysts.
- Help development teams adhere to the principles, guidelines, and best practices of the engineering strategy.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of progressive experience in engineering management experience.
- 4+ years of leading governance, risk and compliance programs.
- 4+ years of experience leading incident response programs.
- In-depth knowledge of security operations including SIEM, SOAR, WAF, DLP and other enterprise security tools.
- Strong technical background leveraged in supporting corporate security initiatives.
- Practical experience setting up security monitoring in CICD and containerized environments.
- Experience of Agile/Lean working practices and the tools to support them.
- Knowledge of core AWS service (similar knowledge of Azure and GCP is a plus).
- Demonstrated ability to partner closely with the engineering team and implement appropriate tools and practices that balance quality with productivity.
- Experience managing engineering departments or engineering functions, overseeing large and complex technology and processes.
- Strong executive presentation and communication skills.

The expected salary range for this role is based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is eligible for the Fanatics Betting and Gaming annual bonus program and an equity award. *Salary range is listed in USD; actual salary will vary based on location. *Salary Range: $148,000 - $294,000 per year (actual salary will be determined in part by a successful candidate’s geographic location). In addition to base salary, bonus, and equity, full-time employees are eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, paid time off, and other benefits like GymPass, Pet Insurance, Family Care Benefits, and more. We’ll also give you $700 to set up your home office!
