Recruiting Operations Specialist - Contractor

We’re looking for a Recruiting Operations Specialist to drive the operational backbone of our Talent Acquisition function. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on making systems and processes run better, has a deep understanding of recruiting operations, and is comfortable managing high-impact workflows like headcount tracking and contractor hiring.

You will be the go-to expert for requisition and contractor management, recruiting system effectiveness, and maintaining operational rigor across our hiring practices. This is a critical individual contributor role with broad cross-functional exposure across Talent Acquisition, People, Finance, HRIS, and Legal.

This is a contract position and is open to Remote. 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain up-to-date, auditable records across recruiting and HR systems with accuracy and consistency.
  • Fully own and manage the contractor hiring process, including intake, system tracking, vendor coordination, and compliance workflows.
  • Identify inefficiencies in recruiting workflows and implement scalable solutions that improve hiring speed, quality, and compliance.
  • Create and maintain detailed process documentation, SOPs, and quick reference guides for the recruiting team.
  • Lead small to mid-sized projects focused on process redesign, system automation, and recruiter enablement.
  • Serve as a power user and operational expert in ATS systems (e.g., Oracle Recruiting Cloud, Workday, Greenhouse, etc.).
  • Partner with HRIS and TA teams to test, troubleshoot, and implement new system features or configurations.
  • Serve as a partner with TA, People Operations and Finance on headcount tracking and management.
  • Provide hands-on support to recruiters and coordinators for process and tool adoption, resolving issues, and optimizing workflows.
  • Partner with TA and Analytics to track operational KPIs such as time-to-open, req aging, recruiter workload, and contractor usage.
  • Maintain trackers, dashboards, or process logs to monitor recruiting volume, system health, and operational risks.
  • Support data accuracy efforts by auditing system inputs and enforcing best practices.

 

 

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of experience in Recruiting Operations, Talent Acquisition, or People Operations.
  • Proven experience managing headcount tracking, requisition workflows, and recruiting tools.
  • Familiarity with contractor/vendor hiring processes and compliance requirements.
  • Strong process-oriented mindset with the ability to document, optimize, and scale workflows.
  • Intermediate comfort with metrics and data hygiene (e.g., Gsuite, Excel, dashboards, system reports).
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in or supporting enterprise-level ATS or HR systems (Oracle, Workday, Greenhouse, etc.).
  • Open to regular travel to events and other Fanatics offices for various offsite and team meetings

 

This is a contract position and will be paid hourly. The annualized salary range is $65,000 - $95,000. (Salary range incorporates all of our Geographical Compensation Zones and is subject to change as the Zone associated with the actual Offer is confirmed).
