Responsibilities Leadership &amp; Management <ul> <li>Lead, mentor, and grow a team of frontend engineers focused on multiplatform (Kotlin) and web-based experiences. </li> <li>Cultivate a culture of innovation, ownership, and inclusion—empowering engineers to experiment, learn, and deliver high-impact work. </li> <li>Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to define clear technical and business goals. </li> <li>Drive sprint planning, technical reviews, and architecture discussions with clarity and accountability. </li> <li>Champion data-driven decisions, using metrics to guide team performance and project prioritization. </li> <li>Invest in the professional development of your team—providing feedback, coaching, and career growth opportunities.  </li> </ul> Technical Strategy &amp; Execution <ul> <li>Own the design, development, and evolution of scalable frontend systems built with Kotlin Multiplatform, ensuring consistency and performance across Android, iOS, and Web. </li> <li>Architect, implement, and maintain shared codebases and reusable UI components across platforms. </li> <li>Collaborate with backend leaders to define APIs and integration strategies that enable seamless user experiences. </li> <li>Drive best practices in observability, testing, performance optimization, and operational excellence. </li> <li>Lead technical execution for complex projects from ideation to delivery, balancing short-term delivery with long-term architectural health. </li> <li>Actively contribute to code reviews, ensuring quality and maintainability while mentoring engineers on technical craftsmanship. </li> <li>Stay ahead of emerging frontend technologies, evaluating tools and frameworks that can enhance team productivity or user experience.</li> </ul>   Qualifications Required <ul> <li>2+ years of experience in engineering leadership or technical management, with a track record of growing and mentoring teams.</li> <li>5+ years of frontend or mobile engineering experience, with deep expertise in Kotlin and Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP).</li> <li>Demonstrated success delivering cross-platform products that serve millions of users.</li> <li>Strong understanding of frontend architecture patterns (e.g., MVI, MVVM) and modern frameworks (e.g., Jetpack Compose, React, SwiftUI).</li> <li>Proven experience collaborating closely with backend, product, and design stakeholders.</li> <li>Strong communication and influencing skills; able to translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.</li> <li>Experience managing in Agile/Scrum environments and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.</li> </ul> Preferred <ul> <li>Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.</li> <li>Experience managing distributed or remote teams.</li> <li>Familiarity with Material Design, cross-platform APIs, and mobile/web interoperability.</li> <li>Experience leading technical decisions in high-growth or startup environments.</li> <li>Passion for sports, gaming, or entertainment technology.</li> </ul> If you possess some of these qualifications but not all of them, we still encourage you to apply! The expected salary range for this role is based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is eligible for the Fanatics Betting and Gaming annual bonus program and an equity award. *Salary range is listed in USD; actual salary will vary based on location. *Salary Range: $144,000 - $205,000 per year (actual salary will be determined in part by a successful candidate’s geographic location). In addition to base salary, bonus, and equity, full-time employees are eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, paid time off, and other benefits like GymPass, Pet Insurance, Family Care Benefits, and more.
