The successful candidate will leverage AI design and code capabilities to drive the modernization of legacy VB6 applications into .NET frameworks, guide the transition from monolithic architectures to cloud-based, microservices-driven SaaS platforms, and foster a culture of engineering excellence. This leader will combine strong technical expertise with change management skills, mentoring capabilities, and a passion for developing high-performing teams.  Driving a product-centric, business outcome-based delivery model, you will align strategies, roadmaps, and execution plans to ensure every technical investment delivers clear, measurable business value.Responsibilities<ul><li>Technology Transformation &amp; Modernization<ul><li>Lead the migration of legacy VB6 systems into modern .NET environments.</li><li>Architect and guide the transition of monolithic applications into microservices-based, cloud-native SaaS solutions.</li><li>Ensure scalability, security, and high availability across all modernized platforms.</li><li>Advocate, evangelize, and instantiate AI-powered design, build, and implementation of SW code development, review, and QA/QC</li></ul></li><li>Engineering Leadership<ul><li>Align to the conceptual and logical models that support technical modernization and long-term technical strategies per CTO’s enterprise architecture.</li><li>Working to Iterative-Agile frameworks (Scrum, LeSS, Kanban…) and embed Design/System Thinking into team’s culture.</li><li>Lead, mentor, and inspire engineering teams to embrace AI technologies to the fullest extent possible, leading design methodologies, and best practices.</li><li>Establish clear engineering standards, code quality practices, and review processes.</li></ul></li><li>Change Management &amp; Stakeholder Collaboration<ul><li>Serve as a change agent to guide teams and stakeholders through major technology transitions, instantiate a coherent, measurable AI-powered SW Engineering team. </li><li>Communicate technical strategies and progress effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>Partner with Product, Operations, and other business units to ensure technology supports business growth and customer needs.</li></ul></li><li>Delivery &amp; Execution<ul><li>Create Product focused solutions through pilots to validate ability and technical approach through extendable and re-usable designs.</li><li>Enhance CI/CD pipelines, implement automated testing, and introduce AI-enabled capabilities to accelerate delivery and reduce risk.</li><li>Implement Agile/DevOps methodologies to accelerate delivery cycles and improve reliability.</li><li>Define and track meaningful metrics for performance, transparency, business values and continuous improvement.</li></ul></li></ul>Skills and Experience needed for success in this role: <ul><li>Education &amp; Experience<ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.</li><li>10+ years in software engineering roles, with at least 5 years in senior leadership.</li><li>Proven track record of leading large-scale system migrations (VB6 to .NET preferred).</li><li>Experience driving cloud migration strategies and SaaS product transformation.</li><li>Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to varied audiences.</li></ul></li><li>Technical Expertise<ul><li>Strong proficiency with Microsoft .NET technologies (C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET).</li><li>Proven leadership in guiding teams implementing microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).</li><li>Strategic oversight of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platform initiatives (Azure, AWS, or GCP).</li><li>Expertise in managing and directing teams adopting microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and multi-cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).</li><li>Track record of leading enterprise initiatives in microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).</li><li>Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and modern software delivery pipelines.</li><li>Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.</li><li>Proficiency with tools including Jira, Confluence, Mural, Excel, and other Agile related platforms.</li></ul></li><li>Leadership &amp; Change Management<ul><li>Demonstrated success in leading change initiatives in complex organizations.</li><li>Skilled in mentoring, coaching, and developing engineering talent.</li><li>Ability to balance technical depth with business priorities.</li><li>Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. The annual base salary range for this position is $200,000 to $230,000 USD plus annual bonus.
