In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the overall strategy for People Operations, Compensation, and Benefits while ensuring seamless execution by directing a team of experienced leaders. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of the People Team, you will serve as a trusted partner and advisor, guiding the operational and rewards infrastructure that supports our growing business and creates a compelling, equitable employee experience.</p><div></div><p></p><p><b>What you’ll be doing</b></p><ul><li><b>Set the vision and strategy</b> for People Operations and Total Rewards, ensuring alignment with business goals and executive priorities.</li><li><b>Shape competitive and sustainable compensation and benefits programs</b>, creating strategies that attract, retain, and motivate top talent while ensuring equity and fiscal responsibility.</li><li><b>Oversee the design of scalable HR operations processes</b> across the employee lifecycle, enabling efficiency, compliance, and a seamless employee experience.</li><li><b>Set the direction for the HR Generalist team, </b>ensuring excellence in employee relations, performance management coaching, and day-to-day HR support that empowers managers and employees across the organization.</li><li><b>Serve as chief of staff to the SVP of People</b>, helping to define strategic priorities, manage execution of key initiatives, and coordinate People Team operating rhythms.</li><li><b>Provide thought leadership and executive-level guidance</b> to leaders and their teams, empowering them to execute effectively in areas such as employee relations, performance management, and employee support.</li><li><b>Champion a data-driven approach</b>, leveraging workforce analytics, benchmarks, and insights to inform strategic decisions and evaluate program effectiveness.</li><li><b>Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of directors and professionals</b> across People Operations, HR Generalists, Compensation, and Benefits, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and inclusion.</li><li><b>Act as a senior advisor to business leaders and executives</b>, ensuring People policies, programs, and systems support both compliance and organizational agility.</li><li><b>Ensure global compliance</b> with employment laws and regulations across all geographies, balancing risk management with employee and business needs.</li><li><b>Represent People Operations and Total Rewards at the executive table</b>, contributing to enterprise-wide decision making and positioning People as a strategic driver of EverCommerce’s success.</li></ul><div></div><p></p><p><b>What we’re looking for</b></p><ul><li>15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including leading People Operations, Total Rewards, and HR Business Partner teams in a global, remote-first environment.</li><li>Proven success designing and scaling compensation, benefits, and HR operations programs for a 2,000+ employee software or technology company.</li><li>Strong executive presence with the ability to advise and influence senior leaders and drive enterprise-wide strategy.</li><li>Demonstrated experience leading, developing, and inspiring high-performing, distributed teams.</li><li>Expertise in HR best practices, compensation, benefits, employment law, compliance, HR technology, and workforce analytics.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or HR certifications (SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CCP, CEBS) strongly preferred.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Where:</b> <b>Remote, Colorado/US</b><br />The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. The annual base salary range for this position is <b>$230,000 - $250,000 USD + variable bonus per year</b> in most US locations.
