You will be instrumental in developing data- and model-powered campaigns that drive personalized engagement, user retention, and long-term growth.  You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners—including Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Design—to build scalable programs that bring intelligence, automation, and creativity into our customer centric marketing channels. What does the day-to-day look like?<ul><li>Develop and implement a comprehensive ML- driven campaign strategy and roadmap that includes highly targeted and personalized email, push notifications, and SMS.</li><li>Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Marketing analytics teams to integrate personalized marketing strategies into the overall channel experience.</li><li>Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of campaigns to engage users with ML-powered personalization at scale.</li><li>Use data and analytics to identify user segments and personalize messaging to enhance user engagement and retention.</li><li>Using platform expertise to implement end-to-end campaigns with Braze or similar ESP.</li><li>Contribute to continuously improving team processes and efficiency by making recommendations and implementing measures that increases team agility.</li><li>Communicate and coordinate status updates, launch confirmations, ETAs, blockers, and dependencies on a weekly basis.</li><li>Occasionally working outside of normal business hours such as weekends, late nights, or early mornings depending on campaign launch times and any urgent messages that need to be delivered.</li><li>Of course, this is just a sample of the kinds of work this role will require! You should assume that your role will encompass other tasks, too, and that your job duties and responsibilities may change from time to time at Etsys discretion, or otherwise applicable with local law.</li></ul><h2>Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:</h2><ul><li>8+ years of experience in a Retention Marketing role, with a focus on personalized strategies and sophisticated technical execution in a Marketing Automation Platform.</li><li>Strong technical expertise in Braze or similar ESP platforms, with hands-on experience building and optimizing campaigns.</li><li>Experience working closely with data science teams to design and launch experiments, such as A/B/n or multi-armed bandit tests. </li><li>Strong project management, delivering successful long term campaign execution and ability to work at a fast pace while handling competing priorities.</li><li>Technical skill with a proven track record to quickly learn new skills and assimilate new technologies.</li><li>Accountability to deliver high quality work and are proactive to share new insights with peers and leadership.</li><li>Strong critical thinking skills coupled with a bias towards action so as to anticipate and navigate the constantly evolving marketing landscape.</li><li>Natural collaborator who is able to build positive relationships across the company and drive decision-making for cross-functional teams.</li><li>Understand CAN-SPAM/CASL/GDPR requirements and inbox deliverability standards.</li><li>Understand the basics of data segmentation and attribution, including knowledge of SQL.</li><li>Experience using HTML to build and personalize marketing communications.</li></ul>Additional Information  Whats Next If youre interested in joining the team at Etsy, please share your resume with us and feel free to include a cover letter if youd like.
