The role will work closely with engineering disciplines in Austin and Sweden to make sure that the final ASIC achieves the goals of the program.  You will:•    Be an empowered designer tasked with improving PPA of Ericsson ASICs •    Evaluate feasibility of architectural features through back end implementation •    Partner with front end design teams to address timing, power and congestion challenges •    Deliver a synthesized netlist to ASIC BE vendor, and collaborate with vendor to address physical design tradeoffs •    Work with DFT and architecture teams to develop timing constraints •    Mentor junior members of the team •    Participate in defining flows, methods and drive continual improvementWhat you will bring:•    6+ years of physical design experience and minimum of a BS EE/CE •    Expert in one or many of these areas – Methods to improve PPA, RTL checks and Synthesis, STA Constraints, DFT clocking architecture, Physical design of high speed interface IPs  •    Knowledge of System Verilog or VHDL •    Highly team oriented •    Accomplished at problem resolution and execution per project plan/needsAdditional preferred skills:   •    Good scripting skills in Tcl or Python •    Knowledge of low power implementation methodology through UPF •    Knowledge of RTL2GDS methodology in 5nm or below technology nodesWhats in it for you: Here at Ericsson, our culture is built on over a century of courageous decisions. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson matches $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson’s full matching contributions. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan. Your Time Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date.
