<div><div><div><h2>Join our Team</h2></div><div><div> </div><div><p><strong>About this opportunity:</strong></p><p> </p><p>Ericsson is now looking for Master Thesis Workers with ML/AI skills and good coding skills in Python &amp; Pytorch to work on interesting problems as part of BNEW RCE AT AGAI Applied Generative AI team. Its sufficient if you have one or more skills in the Data Science domain. </p><ul><li>Do you have an understanding of ML and AI technologies? </li><li>Do you want to apply and extend those skills to solve real-world, complex problems with high societal impact; going beyond ML/AI for consumption and advertising? </li></ul><p>The telecommunications industry has witnessed remarkable advancements thanks to the integration of AI into our networks. However, one area that still presents challenges is root cause analysis, a critical part of troubleshooting processes. This task often consumes significant manpower and time as experts manually sift through system logs to understand and recommend remedies for network issues. We believe that automating this process using machine learning holds immense potential, and were seeking a masters student to join our team to explore this fascinating topic.</p><p>As mobile networks advance toward 5G and beyond, their increasing complexity leads to more frequent and harder-to-diagnose anomalies. To monitor system behavior, telecom nodes continuously generate multimodal machine logs that capture detailed performance and error events. Engineers use these internal logs during fault investigations to understand the underlying issues and then document their findings and observations. Taking advantageous of these various modality in data is challenging. </p><p>Recently, multimodal machine learning (MML) has emerged as a promising approach to network fault detection and diagnostics in telecommunications, especially with different source of data source.</p><p> </p><p><strong>What you will do:</strong></p><p> </p><p>As a Master Thesis Worker, you will need to have good programming skills and understanding of data science and Machine Learning tools. You will need to have good understanding in Data Science methodologies and how to apply them to solve challenging real-world problems as part of a highly dynamic and global team. You have good communication, collaboration and planning skills. You will be working on high impact initiatives with other specialists in Machine Intelligence to accelerate current Ericsson offerings as well creating new offerings in the areas of MI driven 4G and 5G network, distributed cloud, IoT and other emerging businesses. </p><p>As a masters student researcher, you will be at the forefront of developing a Multi-Modal Root Cause Analysis algorithm. Your responsibilities will include:</p><ul><li>Identify and assess which ML models and architectures are best for our framework, where the input is performance measurement logs as well as text to specify the root cause.</li><li>Investigate the possibility of fine-tuning our proposed model to downstream task, that can cover all fault types in Ericsson products thus streamlining the analysis process.</li><li>Explore how these techniques can be seamlessly integrated into Ericssons troubleshooting process to enhance existing solutions.  </li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>The skills you bring:</strong></p><p> </p><ul><li>Good skills in Machine Learning especially techniques such as Transformer based model for time series classification, multimodal learning and NLP. </li><li>Programming skills Python.</li><li>Good skills in current state of the art machine learning frameworks such as Pytorch, and NLP libraries such as  Huggingface.</li><li>Good analytical skills and ability to acquire new knowledge and apply it in the job   </li><li>Good communication skills in written and spoken English  </li><li>Creativity and ability to formulate problems and solve them independently</li></ul></div></div></div></div>
