The candidate is responsible for providing senior-level management, guidance and deliverable review of environmental assessments, investigations, permitting activities, and remediation evaluations. This environmental scientist or engineer would help to expand our growing site assessment work.</div><h3>Job Description:</h3><ul><li>Direct medium to large scale complex projects to ensure internal and external expectations are met for scope, budget, schedule and quality</li><li>Write and review technical documents, reports and engineering designs including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), cleanup alternatives analyses, remediation plans and work plans</li><li>Review Sampling and Analysis Plans (SAPs) and Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs) to ensure logical and efficient sampling is conducted for site characterization</li><li>Interpret engineering, geological, hydrogeological, and chemical data from contaminated sites to evaluate and design/optimize multi-media remediation systems, including developing strategy, rationale and cost estimates</li><li>Manage and train junior and mid-level staff to facilitate growth</li><li>Assist with recruitment of environmental site assessment and site remediation staff to expand project teams</li><li>Collaborate and communicate effectively with multiple clients and internal stakeholders</li></ul><h3>Qualifications and Skills:</h3><ul><li>A minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental site assessment and remediation is required</li><li>Brownfields, CERCLA, RCRA Corrective Action and/or state VRP experience</li><li>Proven project manager with ability to manage multiple projects and subcontractors on time and on budget</li><li>Knowledgeable in current and emerging remedial technologies with a preference for candidates with per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) experience</li><li>Ability to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment</li><li>40-hour HAZWOPER Certified</li><li>Be able to carry 25 pounds, climb ladders, and work on elevated platforms</li></ul><div>ERG offers competitive salaries and excellent benefits, including health and dental insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, educational benefits, FSAs, a generous 401k plan, profit sharing, an EAP, 11-20 paid vacation days per year, 10 paid holidays per year, 56 hours or more of sick leave (based on the state you work in) per year (pro-rated for part-time) and more.
