We’re hiring a National Technical Support Specialist-Load Bank and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. EquipmentShare is seeking a National Technical Support Specialist – Load Banks to join our Advanced Solutions division. This role will act as a subject matter expert in temporary power testing solutions, specifically focused on load banks and related systems. You’ll support sales and operations teams nationwide by helping commission and manage complex load bank applications for a variety of customer segments, including data centers, utilities, and industrial clients. This role is fully remote.
Salary range: $45-$55/hour. Factors including past experience and location may affect final compensation rate.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, standard business hours, with flexibility to travel. Occasional weekend or after-hours support may be required for project execution or customer needs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert for load banks and temporary power testing systems across multiple vertical markets, including critical infrastructure, utilities, and large-scale industrial applications.
- Support sales teams by assisting with customer consultations, solution development, and product recommendations for complex load testing applications.
- Conduct site assessments, load sizing evaluations, and job walks to ensure the right solution is deployed based on power requirements and application-specific needs.
- Provide application support, including electrical installation, load profile modeling, and load bank configuration.
- Lead project management efforts for large or complex load bank deployments, ensuring on-time delivery, successful installation, and customer satisfaction.
- Deliver technical training and application support to operations, and field service teams.
- Stay current on industry trends, testing standards (e.g., IEEE, NFPA), and emerging technologies related to power system validation.

Required Skills/Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of load banks, temporary power distribution, and generator testing principles.
- Strong understanding of AC/DC power systems, voltage configurations, kW/kVA calculations, and load profiles.
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and temporary power setups.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, travel-heavy environment.
- Must be able to travel 50+ of the time with overnight travel required.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or associate’s degree in electrical engineering or power systems preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in power systems, load bank application, generator commissioning, or related roles.
- Experience in a technical sales support or project engineering role is preferred.
- Knowledge of testing standards such as IEEE 115, NFPA 110, or utility-specific commissioning practices is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk job sites, climb stairs/ladders, and work around temporary electrical setups.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds periodically.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- This is a safety-sensitive position; candidates must pass a 10-panel drug screen.
