EMEA Management Accountant

Role 

This member of the finance team will lead the EMEA management accounts team, to prepare accurate and timely monthly financials, ensure Group controls and processes are adhered to and contribute to monthly internal and external reporting requirements. 


Responsibilities include: 

Own the month end process for EMEA business region, delivering an accurate full P&L and balance sheet for EMEA in line with group reporting deadlines.

● Preparation of month end journals for (but not limited to) cost accruals and prepayments, and revenue and cost of sales adjustments. 

Ensure costs related to the EMEA region are captured and owned, liaising with other regional accountants to ensure appropriate allocations of contested or shared costs.

● Assist the central Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams with postings at month end and customer/supplier queries specific to the EMEA region.

● Production of regional P&L first draft, ensuring detailed understanding of month on month and year on year trends, significant items, one off transactions etc, including commentary for management review. 

Ensure significant partnership contracts are understood and accounted for correctly, with income and costs booked in the appropriate periods. 

Assist with year-end audit queries from Group auditors in relation to EMEA region

● Responsibility for preparation of information for local tax advisors to ensure appropriate filings can be made on a timely basis. 

Contribute to submissions for the EMEA region into the Group wide internal and external reporting packs/board reports 

Line management of EMEA Assistant Accountants 

Day to day finance contact for the Regional Operations and Sales teams.

● Assistance with the implementation of group projects in EMEA region, for eg, IFRS conversion


Experience 


Fintech/SaaS experience preferable 

ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified or part qualified 

Resilience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and absorb pressure when necessary 

Strong MS PowerPoint Presentation Skills preferable 

Strong MS Excel skills essential including experience with databases
