Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Group Finance Operations Manager to lead and optimise the performance of our finance operations function. This role will be pivotal in managing the end-to-end financial operations processes across accounts payable, receivable, refunds, and chargebacks, while driving cost-efficiency, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.

As a leader of a small but high-performing team, you’ll be responsible for aligning finance operations with business goals and delivering operational excellence in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead a team of 3 finance professionals across payables, receivables, and refunds/chargebacks.
Ensure timely month-end close processes for AP, AR, intercompany, and cash positions.
Own the AP ledger: ensure monthly reconciliation to nominal and supplier statements.
Monitor and manage operational costs in line with cash flow forecasts and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Enforce company policy compliance regarding invoice and PO approvals.
Optimise supplier payment terms and oversee credit control and chargeback reduction strategies.
Manage all business bank payments including payroll, staff expenses, and tax liabilities.
Lead submissions for compliance such as Florida Sales Tax, ONS forms, etc.
Support external audits by preparing documentation and ensuring audit readiness.
Act as a business partner to other departments by providing timely financial insights and analysis.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
Proven experience managing finance teams and driving operational excellence.
Hands-on experience with financial systems such as Xero and Netsuite.
Strong command of Excel and financial modelling.
Excellent communicator with the ability to simplify complex data for non-finance stakeholders.

Desirable:

Experience in a high-growth tech or SaaS environment.
Background working with auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.
Strong analytical mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving.
