Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Group Finance Operations Manager to lead and optimise the performance of our finance operations function. This role will be pivotal in managing the end-to-end financial operations processes across accounts payable, receivable, refunds, and chargebacks, while driving cost-efficiency, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.
As a leader of a small but high-performing team, you’ll be responsible for aligning finance operations with business goals and delivering operational excellence in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 3 finance professionals across payables, receivables, and refunds/chargebacks.
- Ensure timely month-end close processes for AP, AR, intercompany, and cash positions.
- Own the AP ledger: ensure monthly reconciliation to nominal and supplier statements.
- Monitor and manage operational costs in line with cash flow forecasts and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Enforce company policy compliance regarding invoice and PO approvals.
- Optimise supplier payment terms and oversee credit control and chargeback reduction strategies.
- Manage all business bank payments including payroll, staff expenses, and tax liabilities.
- Lead submissions for compliance such as Florida Sales Tax, ONS forms, etc.
- Support external audits by preparing documentation and ensuring audit readiness.
- Act as a business partner to other departments by providing timely financial insights and analysis.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
- Proven experience managing finance teams and driving operational excellence.
- Hands-on experience with financial systems such as Xero and Netsuite.
- Strong command of Excel and financial modelling.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to simplify complex data for non-finance stakeholders.
Desirable:
- Experience in a high-growth tech or SaaS environment.
- Background working with auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.
- Strong analytical mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving.
