We are backed by </span><a href="http://Offline.VC">Offline.VC</a><span>, </span><a href="http://Charge.VC">Charge.VC</a><span>, VSC, Continuum Ventures, as well as many prominent angels in Silicon Valley.</span></div><div><br /></div><div><b>Role:</b></div><div><span>We are seeking an enthusiastic, communicative and organized Nutrition Specialist who is passionate about treating obesity as a disease to improve the myriad chronic health conditions associated with weight- including hypertension, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea and more- to join our team. In this role, you will see patients via telehealth and work with a multidisciplinary team including medical providers and exercise physiologists to provide best-in-class care and outcomes for your patients - communicating with them both synchronously and asynchronously. This role is perfect for those who want a flexible working schedule and the ability to work from anywhere. </span></div><div><br /></div><h3>Minimum Requirements</h3><ul><li><u><b>We are looking for health coaches with:</b></u></li><li>at least a 4 year Nutrition and Dietetics degree, with at least 1 year experience coaching lifestyle and habit changes using nutrition and exercise. The Nutrition Specialist will work closely under a lead NS to provide evidence-based obesity science and nutrition advice.</li><div><br /></div><div><b><u>OR</u></b></div><div>We are looking for dietitians with:</div><li>Bachelors degree in Food &amp;/or Nutritional Science.</li><li>Minimum 1 year of experience in clinical nutrition as a Registered Dietitian , specifically working with patients with Diabetes or other metabolic diseases.</li><li>Current registration w/ the Commission on Dietetic Registry (CDR) in good standing.</li><li>Knowledge of clinical competencies based on Nutrition Care Standards of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).</li><div><br /></div><div><b><u>For either type of applicant:</u></b></div><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.</li><li>Strong proficiency and experience with medical technology including EMR and mobile apps.</li><li>Collaboration &amp; problem solving skills required.</li><li>Ability to manage a large patient load and multiple platforms both in face to face and app communication.</li><li>Strong ability to empathize and connect with patients on a regular long term basis.</li><li>Experience and comfortability working with our proprietary tech app.</li><li>Past start up experience a plus but not required. </li><div><br /></div></ul><h3>Bonus Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Previous experience in curriculum development.</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of behavior change.</li><li>Previous individual, small group and large group/classroom training/teaching experience.</li><li>Fluency in Spanish or Arabic a strong bonus and will be compensated for. </li></ul><h3>Position Specifics</h3><ul><li>Part time contractor ramping to full time salaried opportunity</li><li>Employee and health benefits provided with 75% time or more</li><li>Compensation variable on experience and credentials</li><li>Remote position with ability to work in multiple time zones.</li></ul>
