You will be enthusiastic about building on this Cloud infrastructure, and you will have plenty of opportunity to expand your knowledge in this field.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Building and maintaining Java code to provide reusable libraries and microservices.</li><li>You will need to translate product requirements into clean, scalable, and reusable code, with minimal supervision. You should be comfortable working independently, taking ownership of your components and delivering high-quality solutions.</li><li>Performance tuning your code to ensure that it runs optimally under expected workloads, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks.</li><li>Writing comprehensive documentation to facilitate easy understanding, discovery, and reuse by other teams, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.</li><li>Mentoring junior team members and new hires, helping them ramp up quickly and succeed, while also learning from others in a collaborative environment.</li><li>Conducting thorough code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices (SOLID principles etc.), and aligning with explicit product requirements and quality standards.</li><li>Work with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.</li><li>Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components.</li><li>Complete complex bug fixes.</li><li>Work closely with other development team members to understand complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.</li><li>Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.</li><li>Operate in an agile environment while collaborating with key stakeholders.</li><li>Resolve complex technical issues as necessary.</li><li>Train entry-level software engineers as directed by department management, ensuring they are knowledgeable in critical aspects of their roles.</li><li>Keep abreast of new technology developments.</li><li>Design and work with complex data models.</li><li>Mentor less-senior software developers on development methodologies and optimization techniques.</li><li>All other duties as assigned</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>5+ years of Software Engineering experience.BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required</li><li>Be a highly proficient Java developer with extensive experience with the latest versions of Java, having demonstrated ability to write efficient, DRY, and maintainable code.</li><li>Have a strong background with Java development tools, particularly Spring and Maven, and be comfortable working within an Agile team.</li><li>Have a strong knowledge of containerisation technologies (including Docker and Kubernetes) and CICD tools (including Jenkins and Github Actions)</li><li>Possess in-depth knowledge of AWS cloud services (or other cloud platforms) and RESTful API design and implementation.</li><li>Be intellectually curious, quick to learn new technologies and concepts, and eager to expand your skillset in cloud-native development, microservices, and automation.</li><li>Exhibit a proactive, investigative approach to complex problem-solving, with the confidence to work independently and own your deliverables.</li><li>Be a clear communicator, capable of explaining technical topics to non-technical stakeholders both verbally and in documentation.</li><li>Demonstrate a broad interest in software development, with understanding of other programming languages (such as Python, Scala, shell scripts) and how they can complement your work.</li><li>Be comfortable working with colleagues from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and regions, fostering an inclusive team environment.</li><li>Show a strong interest in personal growth and continuous learning to keep pace with evolving technologies and industry best practices.</li></ul>Work in a Way That Works for You:  We promote a flexible work environment that meets the needs of a diverse team.
