About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Presales Platform Architect to join our global team. This role involves translating product strategy and technical jargon into language that is easily understood by a range of customer audiences. As part of the presales (sales engineering) team, you will play a crucial role in advancing sales opportunities. Reporting to the APAC Director of Solution Consulting, you will be part of a global team of platform specialists supporting the product and technical needs of the sales teams in your region, with specific awareness of the local customs and culture of the higher education industry. You will take ownership of the technical relationship with our prospects by proactively managing and delivering technical presentations both onsite and remotely. Where you will make an impact Assist sales Account Executives and management in qualifying opportunities, primarily to determine how a prospect’s business requirements align with Ellucian’s software solutions. Serve as a platform architect, working with leadership and account executives to ensure the Ellucian portfolio is presented and demonstrated to address institutional challenges. Coordinate and participate in strategy and discovery calls, represent Ellucian at industry and user conferences, and provide technical product support throughout the sales process as needed. Build strong relationships among internal stakeholders by providing insightful direction, options, and a plan for execution to improve productivity and competency. Actively involve and coordinate efforts to innovate, develop, and improve the demonstration capability of Ellucian product demonstrations. Conduct business process reviews and analyze client business requirements. Gather and document business requirements, discuss with clients, and present back their requirements. Lead configuration and software presentation workshops (preparation, execution, and follow-up). What you will bring Minimum of 4 years of experience working with higher education systems (e.g., SIS, ERP, CRM). Prior experience in solution architecture design or presales focused on data analytics tools, data lakes, security, integrations, and core system capabilities. Experience in developing solutions or integrations using modern tools, languages, and RESTful APIs is a strong advantage. Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills. Ability to articulate and logically communicate concepts both technically and functionally. Ability to meet deadlines, follow up on commitments, and build strong trust relationships. Willingness to travel. Desired Skills Ability to explain and present software and technology to diverse customers, ensuring they can use applications and functionality effectively to accomplish their work. Strong knowledge of the higher education sector in APAC countries. Understanding of Cloud/SaaS technology concepts, systems architectures, and solution mix. Experience with Ellucian solutions. Software implementation experience, especially with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions in the education sector.
