Responsibilities
- This role manages NASSC finished stock inventory for the U.S. Sales Affiliate and Puerto Rico (PR).
- The individual will work with supplying plant sites and the marketing brand teams/Affiliate representatives to ensure proper inventory levels to enable each support Sales Affiliate to meet its customer service targets and other goals and objectives.
Additional responsibilities can include any or all the following:
- oversight of external distribution partners
- balancing inventory between the US NALO distribution sites to maximize customer service and minimize product obsolescence
- supporting new product launches and packaging changes
- productivity improvement projects
- safety involvement
- metrics reporting
- master data stewardship
- implementation of new GBIP releases as required
To meet these requirements, the role demands a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including distribution, manufacturing, and sales practices. It also requires working knowledge of logistics and traffic operations, warehousing, regulatory compliance (including PDMA, cGMP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and Special Security Substance administration), finance, quality assurance, and all associated systems.
Key Objectives/Deliverables
Safety
- Performs tasks in a safe manner – follows all ergonomic guidelines, including early reporting of injuries
- Contributes to advancing safety in NALO.
Inventory Managerment
- Manage finished goods safety stocks and inventory for Sales Affiliates, including oversight of safety stock adjustments, obsolete and potentially obsolete inventory, and slow-moving items.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Sales Affiliates on inventory management, collaborating with brand teams to guide decisions on supply planning—especially during product supply disruptions and packaging changes.
- Ensure the successful execution of product launches, packaging changes, transitions, and discontinuations for the Sales Affiliate.
- Partner with the U.S. Affiliate and Customer Service during supply constraints to determine appropriate inventory allocation strategies for customers.
Ownership/Improvement
- Serve as a process owner for key inventory and customer service functions, ensuring consistency, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement by developing and refining processes to adapt to evolving business needs, enhancing both effectiveness and efficiency across supply chain operations
Metrics
- Support Affiliate and Supply Chain/Manufacturing teams by generating daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, and ad-hoc reports on customer shipments, inventory, and key metrics.
- Influence alignment between Manufacturing, Distribution, and Affiliates on supply, inventory, customer service, and product transition matters.
- Lead and contribute to initiatives aimed at improving NASSC productivity.
- Ensure process documentation is maintained to enable task coverage by team members when needed.
- Collaborate effectively within a team to meet area goals and customer needs, demonstrating flexibility and a positive attitude.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including Special Security Substance, Sarbanes-Oxley, cGMP, PDMA, and internal policies such as Redbook and clean desk standards.
- Manage finished goods stock transfers and maintain appropriate inventory levels
- across distribution centers, with extensive use of SAP.
- Oversee external distribution partners to ensure performance objectives are met and drive process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain data integrity and adhere to good documentation practices in all operational activities.
- Create and manage material master data for promotional materials and customer master data.
- Perform transactional tasks such as generating inventory reports, loading and entering orders, managing stock transfers, scrapping, and maintaining material records in SAP.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or a similar field
- 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain
Additional Skills/ Preferences
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- 5+ years experience in Materials Management
- Pharmaceutical Supply Chain experience
- MRPII knowledge
- APICS CPIM certification
- No shift work required. Very limited, if any, travel required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and email systems
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proactive in identifying and resolving issues collaboratively
- Effective team player with a track record of working successfully across diverse groups
Additional Information
- This role is based in Plainfield, IN and requires the individual to be onsite with the ability to work remotely up to 4 days per month

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$57,750 - $129,800Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
