We’re looking for people who are determined to make life better for people around the world.What We’re Looking For: We are seeking an experienced, proven operations leader who will report directly to the Associate Vice President, Assistant General Counsel – Integrated Risk Management. This position will play a critical role in managing the newly established Integrated Risk Management (IRM) program’s governance and operations, including project management. The IRM program has been created to oversee our organizations readiness and resilience against known and emerging risks. This team coordinates with other risk functions and business leads to ensure proper business continuity, crisis readiness, and risk mitigations. The IRM program will be anchored in technology platforms that will provide front end controls and leadership visibility into key risk indicators. Key Responsibilities: Governance: <ul><li>Develops, maintains, and implements a comprehensive IRM governance framework that aligns with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements. </li><li>Establishes and leads operations for IRM governance committees comprised of cross-functional risk liaisons to ensure consistent risk management practices across the organization. </li><li>Co-facilitates committee meetings and leadership updates across IRM with the Associate Vice President, Assistant General Counsel – Integrated Risk Management. </li><li>Develops agenda topics and presentations, collaborating with risk liaisons to establish key discussion topics. </li><li>Captures key decisions and meeting outcomes. </li><li>Engages with stakeholders to understand their risk management needs, connecting cross-functional insights and escalating identified priority risks. </li><li>Facilitates communication and collaboration among program stakeholders. </li><li>Creates and delivers training and support on governance-related matters. </li><li>Provides regular updates to senior leadership on the status of IRM initiatives. </li></ul>IRM Program Operations and Project Management: <ul><li>Identifies and assesses potential risks and opportunities associated with IRM initiatives and proposes mitigation strategies. </li><li>Coordinates risk management projects and initiatives with cross-functional teams, facilitating communication and collaboration. </li><li>Maintains and manages risk tracking within governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platform, including associated mitigation plans. </li><li>Collaborates with business units to embed risk management processes into daily operations and strategic planning. </li><li>Develops and implements project management methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure successful delivery of IRM initiatives. </li><li>Oversees project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk assessments to ensure timely and within-budget delivery. </li><li>Manages and regularly reports on project progress, performance metrics, and outcomes. </li><li>Facilitates risk assessments and scenario analysis to inform IRM strategic decision making. </li><li>Drives continuous improvement of the IRM program through regular reviews and feedback opportunities. </li><li>Collaborates with IRM leadership to develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for the IRM program. </li><li>Manages operational budgets for IRM programs, inclusive of program operating budgets and key initiative budgets. </li><li>Oversees issues management, including maintaining the framework within the GRC platform, collaborating with functional teams, and monitoring the program to ensure stakeholder needs are met. </li></ul>Basic Qualifications: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree </li><li>5+ years of relevant professional experience </li><li>3+ years of experience in operations and project management </li><li>Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization and/or visas for this role.</li></ul>Additional Skills/Preferences: <ul><li>Governance Knowledge: Understanding of IRM governance frameworks, policies, and regulatory requirements. Experience implementing IRM governance within a complex organization.  </li><li>Project Management: Skills in project planning, execution, and monitoring with knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.  Project Management Professional certification is preferred but not required. </li><li>Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. </li><li>Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and coordinate with various stakeholders. </li><li>GRC Technology Experience: Experience working with large-scale enterprise GRC technology reporting mechanisms with the ability to develop and maintain complex reporting frameworks. Proficiency with ServiceNow preferred.</li><li>Organizational Change Management: Skills driving organizational change initiatives to successfully implement new processes, technologies, or transformations while managing stakeholder engagement.</li><li>Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in maintaining governance documents and project plans. </li><li>Training and Support: Experience providing effective training and support on governance and operations-related matters. </li><li>Risk Management Expertise: Knowledge of and experience working with risk functions or programs such as: Enterprise/Integrated Risk Management, risk governance, audit, compliance, issues management, and reporting. </li><li>Analytical Decision Making: Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks and develop mitigation strategies. </li><li>Leadership: Ability to influence and drive change across the organization through strategic risk management initiatives. </li></ul>This is a remote role, candidates must willing to travel to Indianapolis (or other locations) as needed.Lilly is dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities to actively engage in the workforce, ensuring equal opportunities when vying for positions.
