Electrolux Design is building a world-class design team with the task of designing future home appliances that deliver great, sustainable user experiences for people around the world. The global Electrolux Design team consists of over 150 designers located in 5 Design Studios, working across the experience areas of Taste, Care, and Wellbeing. As a member of our Care Design Team, you will contribute to our bigger goal of making a positive impact on people’s everyday lives.
About the role:
We are currently looking for a talented Senior CMF Designer who will apply their skills to ideate, visualize, and develop colors, materials, and finishes for home appliances. Someone with a keen interest in material innovation, and with a focus on always finding the best sustainable solution. The chosen candidate will be part of a multi-functional design team that will design the future of Electrolux Fabric Care and Dish Care appliances.
About the location:
You will be based at the Electrolux HQ in Stockholm, Sweden, and you will be part of a global CMF team, collaborating with designers located both in Stockholm and in the other Design Studios. Collaboration and alignment towards common goals are important, but at the same time, you will have the ability to work independently and be part of evolving the CMF strategy within the Care Design team.
A typical day at work:
As Senior CMF Designer at Electrolux, you will creatively inspire, lead, and develop world-class CMF design of current and future appliances in the Care product line, consisting of Fabric Care and Dish Care. You will oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring that every design tells a compelling story that resonates with both internal and external stakeholders. In doing so, you will contribute to launching multiple products to market while keeping a keen awareness of the broader business context. Your time will be balanced between independent project delivery and collaborative efforts to continuously enhance our CMF expression and execution.
Main responsibilities:
Manage CMF deliverables across multiple product development projects within Fabric Care and Dish Care.
Explore a wide variety of compelling color and material options through digital and physical prototypes.
Develop, analyze, and approve final colors, materials, and finishes for production.
Establish and maintain supplier relationships, identifying new resources for innovative materials.
Collaborate with local and global Design teams, internal stakeholders, and external suppliers to translate project goals into relevant design solutions.

Detail-oriented with the ability to create and manage highly detailed CMF specifications and coordinate build reviews and communications.
User-focused: interested in trend and consumer research, understanding and translating users’ needs into actionable design insights.
Good communicator: visually oriented, with good verbal skills, with a strong ability to communicate ideas, influencing development teams and stakeholders.
Actively collaborate with other design disciplines, product groups, R&D teams, and suppliers to execute projects independently in a global context.
Actively partner up with suppliers and R&D teams to develop new material technology projects and apply them to appliances.
Education & Experience:
Degree in Industrial Design or other relevant design field.
5+ years professional CMF experience, preferably from an industry-leading corporation.
Solid knowledge in manufacturing processes and a keen interest to learn.
Solid visualisation skills. Fluent in relevant 2D and 3D software (Adobe Creative Suite, Keyshot, etc.)
Familiarity in CMF Measurements & Quality Process Proficiency.
Strong creative influencing and self-leadership skills
Strong drive, curiosity, learning ability, and teamwork
Fluency in English and other languages is a benefit.
