What youll do:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Architect with deep expertise in Akamai Content Delivery Network (CDN) solutions to join our technical team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Akamai CDN configurations that ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance content delivery. You will collaborate closely with application teams, DevOps, and security architects to create robust CDN strategies tailored to business needs.

In detail, you will:

- Design end-to-end architecture solutions involving Akamai CDN to improve content delivery performance and availability.

- Lead the integration of Akamai services (Ion, Kona Site Defender, Bot Manager, etc.) into enterprise web applications.

- Analyze application delivery performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements using Akamai tools and best practices.

- Work closely with security teams to implement Akamai security features such as WAF rules, DDoS protection, and bot mitigation.

- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to define caching strategies, edge logic, and offload techniques.

- Monitor CDN health, manage edge configurations, and respond to performance issues or outages.

- Provide technical leadership and guidance on Akamai product capabilities, deployment models, and usage optimization.

- Develop and maintain documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures for CDN deployments.

As part of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in Lean Thinking projects and activities (EMS/C2W).

Who you are:

- University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- Large experience in web performance optimization and content delivery, with 2+ years focused on Akamai CDN.

- Strong understanding of HTTP, DNS, TLS/SSL, caching, and web application architecture.

- Proficient in Akamai configuration tools (Property Manager, EdgeWorkers, EdgeKV, etc.).

- Hands-on experience with Akamai security offerings such as Kona Site Defender, Bot Manager, or Application Protector.

- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and tools for automated CDN configuration and deployment.

- Experience with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, etc.) and APIs for CDN automation.

- Strong troubleshooting skills and performance tuning expertise.

- Akamai certifications (e.g., Akamai Certified Professional) are a plus.

- Fluent English.

Where youll be:

You will be based at the Curitiba administrative office. Located in Prado Velho, it is a new Electrolux location designed from the start to allow for more efficient, connected and flexible collaboration between Electrolux’s support teams.
