Position Description
We’re seeking an analytical, strategic, and highly collaborative Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join our Finance team. This role is central to supporting Eleanor Health’s financial planning, forecasting, and decision-making processes, with a strong focus on driving visibility, accountability, and alignment across the business.
This is an ideal role for someone who is excited by complex problem solving, has strong financial modeling experience, and thrives in a mission-first environment with a bias for action.
What You’ll Do:
- Forecasting & Budgeting: Lead annual budgeting and regular re-forecasting processes in collaboration with department leads; maintain financial models and ensure alignment with company strategy.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly and quarterly financial performance reports, including variance analysis and KPI tracking; deliver insights to senior leadership to support strategic decisions.
- Strategic Business Partnering: Work cross-functionally with teams (e.g., Clinical Ops, People, Tech, Growth) to evaluate business performance, assess financial impact of new initiatives (e.g., provider capacity optimization, patient engagement levers, RCM improvements), and optimize resource allocation.
- Scenario Modeling: Support growth planning and operational decision-making through dynamic scenario and sensitivity analyses (e.g., market expansion, hiring plans including provider capacity and demand planning, unit economics).
- Systems & Tools: Help implement and improve financial systems, dashboards, and processes to enhance forecasting accuracy and team efficiency.
- Board & Investor Materials: Support the preparation of financial content for board meetings, investor updates, and other stakeholder communications.
Candidate Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity or strategy consulting.
- Proven expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets; experience with financial planning tools is a plus. Familiarity with SQL or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable distilling complex analyses into clear insights.
- Detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and highly organized with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience in healthcare - especially provider organizations - or in startups/ mission-driven environments is a strong plus.
- This role will be a critical thought partner to the CFO and executive team, helping guide Eleanor’s financial planning in alignment with our mission and growth.
Compensation & Benefits:
The total target compensation range for this position is $120,000 - 140,000 +10% bonus. The actual compensation offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
